First the John Cusack movie and now this?! What's going on?
Now that pilot season is well underway, we've gotten word that ABC has apparently ordered a crime drama in which famed horror writer Edgar Allen Poe solves mysteries!
According to the official synopsis:
“Crime procedural following Edgar Allan Poe as the world’s very first detective, using unconventional methods to investigate dark mysteries in 1840s Boston.”
Depending on the direction this one takes, it could be kind of dark and gritty, in a From Hell kind of way, in which case we'd certainly approve!
But no talking raven sidekicks, guys! LOLz!
Check out some more recently picked-up pilots…AFTER THE JUMP!
"A sexy soap set against the Jet-Age, focusing on the stewardesses and pilots and their glamorous world full of exciting adventures."
Lost and Found:
“A narcissistic New York City bartender and party girl has her life turned upside down when the conservative 18 year old son she gave up for adoption shows up on her doorstep.”
“Two out of work car salesmen realize that it is now a woman’s world and decide that in order to find work again and succeed they are going to have to dress as women to get jobs as pharmaceuticals reps. Doing this inadvertently makes them better men, husbands and fathers but also makes them appreciate the sanctuary of their guy’s nights at the local bar where they can really be themselves.”
Special Investigations L.A.:
Traffic-esque drama focusing on crime, the law, and politics in good ole' El Lay!
