This is probably the only way that he'll get the help that he needs, so we sincerely hope that a judge will recognize that.

Charlie Sheen's father, Martin Sheen, is reportedly so concerned about his hard-pAArtying son's well-being that he and his wife, Janet, are considering looking into a court-ordered conservatorship to get him back on track!

A source explains:

"Charlie looks awful…he is very, very depressed and feels like the world is going against him. Charlie's parents are discussing getting a conservatorship of their son. Martin and Janet know that it's highly unlikely their petition would be granted, but they are trying to do whatever possible to save Charlie's life. Charlie is coughing a lot, and he doesn't seem to care what he is doing to his body…Charlie truly thinks he is invincible, and that he can do as much drugs as possible with no ramifications. Martin realizes that Charlie isn't rehabbing at home. That term just doesn't exist. Charlie is calling the shots, he hasn't surrendered to sobriety, and until that happens, this cycle won't end. Charlie is absolutely refusing to go to rehab. He is a 45 year old man, and no one can force him to go. That is why his parents are exploring what legal options they have if any to save his life."

Exactly! Something NEEDS to be done before it's too late!

Our fingers are crossed that they follow through with this plan, and at least are allowed to plead their case to a judge.

There don't some to be a lot of options left at this point. So sad.

Thoughts??

OMG….. Charlie is a grown man! He should be able to do what he wants with his life. If he wants to spend $500,000 on broads, booze or anything else he wants so be it. Martin hasn't been in the lime light for awhile so now he has to put his two cent's in. Give me a break!

Bless them! Sounds like they have their hands full. I wish them all the luck in the world.

    About time!

Now that's what I'm talking about. Finally. This is why I always had a lot of respect for Britney Spears' father. He stepped right in and did what he had to do to get his daughter's life back in order and I'm glad that Charlie's father is doing something too. I wish someone would have done this for Michael Jackson. Sometimes you have to take drastic measures in order to see some changes.

Where is Dr. Drew when you need him?

    It worked for Brit Brit

I hope a judge grants one. Charlie needs help and doesn't realize he's luved and would be missed. The ppl. that are around him are users and he needs ppl. that care. I hope he sobers up because he could have such a great life. I've had no booze or drugs for over 16 yrs. and don't miss it.

we basically just watch these celebrities kill themselves in front of us noone can do anything .. its tragic…they are above rehab rules above the law and above all us it seems ..

  9. 9

BRITNEY SPEARS AND CHARLIE SHEEN ARE RELATED. ALWAYS KNEW IT.

  10. 10

I've got a better idea. Leave him alone and let him kill himself.

Maybe someone controling his money will be a wake up call! I sure hope so!

A loving gesture from a caring, concerned father but Charlie is in his mid 40s and needs to sort this out himself - for himself and his kids. Many people have addictions and watching a loved one waste their life away is so difficult (I know!). He's gotta get help, get clean because that's what he wants.
I admire Charlie, love Two and Half Men. I hope he gains from rehab and becomes a better person for it.

I don't care how old a person is, or what they have "been through" in their life. I truly believe that any person's worst is the worst thing they've ever experienced and it isn't up to anyone to judge them for that. However, it is very easy to hide and numb yourself from whatever reality you are hiding from, and when that happens, a person truly needs help. I don't usually condone something like this, because to an addict, it's not helpful, it's hateful….but there will come a time, hopefully, when everyone involved will realize the best interests. If a person is left to their own devices for too long, with endless opportunity and no consequence, that person may not be here much longer. Call it what you want, say what you will, but sometimes people need help and the only way to get it is a kick in the ass.

conservatorship for a middle aged man ? come the fuck on people. There is no way in hell a middle aged man should be forced from living life the way he chooses, regardless of how others feel about it. This is America, Charlie is a free man, with his own money, leave him the fuck alone.

  15. 15

This wouldn't be the craziest idea ever. They have a ton of money, so at least it is clear they would not be taking advantage of his. The guy needs help–I was always wondering where is family seemed to be in all of this.

Martin Sheen and Dr. Drew should get together, get a hold of him and force him into rehab

  17. 17

That would probably be the only thing that could save his life. His parents, especially his father, have always done everything they can for Charlie. Hoping they can get this and get him better. Best wishes to the whole family. Charlie's kids deserve to have a father they can look up to (or even be alive) as they grow. For those people that don;t understand conservatorship and think it's just a case of "a grown man living", it is about mental illness and the fact that they simply can NOT function like a regular grown person, and you are basically trying to prevent them from killing their self or harming another.
