it seems CNN is as popular in Cairo as it is in the US. I'm sure the spin will be that its the violent fraction of the Muslim Brotherhood Tea Party movement.

Cooper is lucky those muslims didn't know he way gay otherwise his head would be detached from his body and kicked down the street like a soccer ball.

  2. 2

I find it interesting that the crowd turned violent only after Mubaraks speech.
Where were his supporters before? I'm wonder if the violent supporters of
his aren't really the military minus their uniforms.. Afterall, isn't that the
way Sadams troops fought after the invasion. That way the government can
play innocent and wash their hands of the violence.

  3. 3

Cooper is a good journalist and knows the chances he takes by covering these types of stories. I hope he's okay.

  4. 4

hes too cute to be hit ;(

  5. 5

hahahahahhahhhhaaahha!!! sometimez Violence is the ANSWER!! go to a war torn place again, ASSHOLE!!!!

  6. 6

They probably heard about his over the top support for the gay agenda and whipped his ass. Y'know, they are not too fond of the gays in that part of the world.

  7. 7

    What did he expect?

  8. 8

Cooper must have a thick head to be punched that many times and still be coherent. I want pictures!!! Guess Amanpour was wrong when she said that things were "tense but friendly".

  9. 9

Well that's what happens when you put yourself in the line of danger he's ALWAYS pushing the limits if you ask me too close. I always think one of these days he's not going to be so lucky.

  10. 10

Re: gemmarae – Too bad Amanpour wasn't there to get punched in the cocksucker. Maybe that would have shut her dumb ass up.

  11. 11

Must have been SO terrifying. I am NOT an Anderson Cooper fan AT ALL however, that must have been awful and I hope that he and his crew return safely.

  12. 12

He's not complaining why are you guys acting like he is they are just reporting what happen. Am sure he knows the risk but he's a journalist and that's what they are suppous to do. Anyways I hope he feels better soon.

  13. 13

For every dictator thug there are a cadre of nincompoops who will support him and try and destroy any opposition or progressive reform. Just ask Rush, Beck or Palin - they've made a career out of it.

  14. 14

I'm sure Sarah Plain had something to do with it.

  15. 15

people in "those types" of ass backwards countries are fucking freaks!! i hate seeing them on the news screaming and yelling like crazed monkeys!! i say nuke em all!!

  16. 16

Beating someone up because of their views or to air opinions proves their point in changing the government. Be safe Anderson.

  17. 17

Oooooh! WTF! If this had happened in the Western world, these guys would have been labeled as homophobic. Why won't you call them Homophobic? Huh? Not enough courage? You know that a Christian would just take it if you called them Homophobis, but these guys will behead you for calling them homophobic.

These guys hate you Mario (Perez) and Anderson not because of who you are, but because of what you are (gay).

  18. 18

Journalists covering war zones are heroes and I thank Gd for people like Anderson Cooper. Many journalists who are less well-known but just as skilled die every year doing their dangerous jobs. The question in Egypt is which thug government do you want: a thug dictator who is friendly to the West, or a thug dictator that is supported by Islamic extremists? Because those are the choices. Pick your poison.

  19. 19

You know… The media glorifies the Muslim religion often and say that it is the fastes growing religion and seem to be thrilled that it is. Just wait until the Muslim faith become predominate. You guys would shit yourselves. They would love to kill homos. When faced with a sword, you will dive back into the closet.

Be careful who you support. These guys are as intollerant as they come.

  20. 20

I imagine anyone who's ever seen his show would want to punch him in the head.

  21. 21

Perez the only reason you think violence is never the answer is because you don't know how to fight.

Anderson Cooper is an idiot. I've never believed a word that's ever come out of his mouth. I don't believe he is an honest journalist.

Secondly, he's really lucky they didn't kill him. That is a nightmare situation - you just can't waltz in there with your camera and expect them to be happy about you filming them.

  22. 22

I like Anderson Cooper, but he does have a bit of the "rich kid American" in him. He is a Vanderbilt after all.

  23. 23

i guess they dont care for this twat in egypt. they have good taste.

  24. 24

Re: ciao bella03 – You go first

  25. 25

Re: Mario_Sucks.com – I somehow doubt you have a handle on who is honest and who is not if you think Anderson cooper isn't honest - to me he seems like one of the only people left on TV that doesn't have an agenda - what do you watch the crazy people on Fox? they are the ones that lack honesty in my opinion

  26. 26

    stay safe, Andy!

is there video of this attack? I dont know if I believe all of this story. its like when you go to a crowded public place where people are in a frenzy..I dunno like a concert, you have the risk of getting shoved around and clunked a bit. I wouldnt call it an attack! I like anderson but he is nothing but a little blue blood runt that is probably exaggerating.

  28. 28

Violence was the answer for the Black Eyed Peas. After they kicked your a$$, you stopped talking trash about Fergie.

  29. 29

Mubarak's a dictator and his supporters are paid thugs.

It makes perfect sense for them to try and prevent news channels from showing how hated Mubarak is.

  30. 30

I'm not surprised, when the government tells us we need to leave, we need to leave. Egypt is too dangerous right now, I'm glad Anderson now sees that the protesters don't care who he is, or what family he's from, they are in the middle of overthrowing a dictator, and he shouldn't be getting in the way of that.

  31. 31

Ehh, the US needs to throw a bomb and call it a day.

  32. 32

Well, when you play with fire long enough, you're bound to get burned eventually. Besides, Anderson Cooper is an establishment mouthpiece and always tows the establishment's politically correct live, for bad or for worse… so I'm not really all that saddened by the news…

  33. 33

    Barbarians. No more, no less.
