Former Enron CEO's Son Found Dead In Dorm Room

former enron ceo sun found dead

First, Bernie Madoff's son committed suicide back in December, and now former Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling's son John Taylor has been found dead in his dorm room.

So sad and disturbing to see the sons of these imprisoned "businessmen" going down this road.

No word yet on whether Skilling's death was related to suicide, foul play, or something else, but students have said that the former CEO's son was "despondent over a recent breakup with his girlfriend." Also, multiple prescription drug bottles were nearby the body, which makes suicide seem like a strong possibility.

Guess we'll see what they find out after the toxicology reports come back.

Our thoughts are with Jeffrey Skilling and his family during this difficult time.

    Greed kills.

Rest in Peace JT. My heart is breaking with every new news report I see on your tragic death. I was so blessed to be able to get to know you during our 4 years in high school, and I still am in shock at what happened. You are greatly missed and loved by so many people. Love you JT, please watch over all of us from Heaven.

It saddens me so much to see JT's death on here. I visit Perez all the time, I never thought I would see news about the death of a friend on here. His death is tragic. He was one of the most genuinely funny people I had ever known. I am so upset that his death is causing such a news uproar. He had to live in the shadow of what his father was known for, its awful that he had to die in the same shadow. I cant imagine him killing himself. I wish everyone would stop being judgmental of him, you never knew him at all. He was an amazing person and was loved by so many people. Rest in peace JT. You will be very very missed.

So sad for the boy, not for the father. One wonders if the father had known of the consequences of his rampant greed, would he have taken a different path?

    Re: Anastasia P
sad for the boy and not for the father?? You understand that a father lost his son, right? who cares what the father did, no one deserves the pain of losing a child to suicide.

he was such an unique, talented, genuine, and amazing kid who could put a smile on anybody's face simply be smiling himself. He will be so, so missed. I hope his fathers past doesn't overshadow everything that his family and friends are going through right now… this is a very sad time for us all. we hope to remember him in the good light that he casted each and every day rather than looking back on the past. he loves his father, friends, and family VERY much and we all love him.

He was murdered. CIA has been doing this longer than you'll know.

  9. 9

Re: jazz99 – That's an ignorant remark. What did the CIA have to gain? You sound like your trying to come off "in the know" and you just sound stupid.

And my thoughts are still with the thousands of Enron employees who got royally fucked by Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling.

Re: La Vaquera – It is very sad what happened to all affected in 2001, but JT had NOTHING to do with it. He was a kid, like 10 years old. It was awful and people were very affected by it, but that does not take away from the fact that someone died (who had nothing to do with that crap) and many people are grieving. Don't be an asshole.

This is sad. Wish I hadnt read about it on a celeb gossip site.

  13. 13

    I. Dont. Care.

  14. 14

Not sure what this has to do with celebrity gossip. But there is nothing sad about it. Those crooks from enron deserve all the pain in the world. They should have actually been executed. But the pain of a lost of a son is a good second. There crimes are some of the worst crimes that some one can do to another.

That's so sad. My heart breaks for his family. They've been through so much.

    So sad, considering it all.

  17. 17

Aww poor things couldn't lie without the lies of their father's coming up. Maybe it would be better just to teach our sons NOT TO LIE.

  18. 18

you're a sick person to say anyone deserves to lose a child no matter what they have done.

  19. 19

    Karma sucks doesn't it.
