WTF?! Something is actually coming from this?!
As we all know, James Franco likes to walk to the beat of his own bizarre drum, and recently left audiences baffled at the Sundance Film Festival with a temporary art-installation that recreated episodes of Three's Company!
However, it must have gotten SOME people thinking, because now the actor has revealed that he currently has a stage adaptation of the ABC sitcom in the works, and hopes to have it off the ground within the next few years!
"When we came here, then the 'Three's Company' people contacted us like, 'What's going on?' So we had a talk with them, and they realized what we're doing is a cool thing. Otherwise, there's no other circumstance where 'Three's Company' would ever play at the Sundance Film Festival. They were like, 'Yes, we've been trying to figure out ways of bringing it back in some form or another. We want to do more projects with you.' So now, we're planning — and this is serious — 'Three's Company,' the off-Broadway play. I think it needs to be developed a little more, something a little different but connected to the original."
We don't even want to BEGIN to think about what kind of ca-raazy direction he is going to take this 'adaptation!'
But we're also kind of excited to see what becomes of it! Lord knows it's going to be weeeeeeird!
And will he HIMSELF be featured in the play?! We hope so!
Keep the ridiculousness coming, bb! We're obsessed!
