This is so crazy to think about! We wonder what would have happened if different decisions had been made!
Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston are busy promoting their new flick, Just Go With It, and revealed today on The Oprah Winfrey Show that back in the early '90s, the actress nearly joined the cast of Saturday Night Live instead of doing Friends!
"We wanted Aniston to be on the show with us. I remember being on the ninth floor where [SNL exec] Lorne Michaels' office was, and seeing Jen come in. I was like, 'Oh my God, there's Aniston. Is she about to be on our show?' She said no? She's gonna do that 'Friends'? What the hell is 'Friends?' That was the truth."
And Jen elaborates:
"Yeah, I was…you know, I had this show Friends coming up, and I thought…yeah…They thought I was making a huge mistake. Yeah, Friends did all right."
Ha! Hell yeah, it did all right!
How much were making per episode the last season, bb? What was that? Oh yeah, $1 million!
Someone definitely made the right decision!
But we're impressed that you had the comedic chops even back then to be considered for a part on SNL! Such an honor!
Oh well! Things happen for a reason!
