Newscorp Says ByeSpace!

So long, and thanks for all the camera phone self portraits!
Earlier today, News Corp COO Chase Carey announced that he felt "now is the right time" to place MySpace "under a new owner."
More from Carey:
“The new MySpace has been very well received by the market and we have some very encouraging metrics, but the plan to allow MySpace to reach its full potential may be best achieved under a new owner.”
Letting 'em down easy, huh News Corp? How thoughtful of you. LOLz.
Rumors of News Corp's plans to sell MySpace had been going on for a while now, so this doesn't come as any major shocker.
Should be inneresting to see who snatches up MySpace. Will it be Google? Facebook? Will Friendster buy it and plan their reemergence as a social networking super power?
Hopefully it finds a good home!
MySpace may not be the #1 place to connect with friends anymore, but it's still a damn good place to listen to streaming music!

are they delusional!!!! the new myspace was unusable!! thats why people fled like a mass exodus when they changed it.
I just read that Mocospace is interested in buying it out. The music platform would work out well.
Article is on gomonews.
the new myspace sucks, but i hope whoever buys focuses more on the music. cause lets face it, thats all its really good for
Yeah, the new Myspace, isn't very good. It's VERY VERY slow now, I think. I still love going there to listen to music though, you're right about that Perez!
Hey guys, make your bid !! www.myspaceforsale.com
myspace is a wreck since they changed everything. I can't bare to even log into my myspace account anymore because of how slow it is. it lags. i feel like i have dial-up net whenever i log into myspace now.
