Anderson Cooper Leaves Egypt

This decision was probably for the best.

Although we know that Anderson Cooper wanted to stay in Egypt and continue covering the protests, he has decided to leave the country.

The journalist tweeted on Saturday:

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to leave #Egypt. CNN continues to have many teams in place. It was a hard decision to leave.

After experiencing several attacks from pro-government groups and eventually hiding in an undisclosed location, this seems like the best move for Anderson.

Hope you have a safe flight home, buddy.

Ok it's news to me and I'm in Egypt. I'm really glad he left. Seriously? I thought that he could die here. This is not an easy story to cover. Is this the first time he's ever bailed? Pray for peace over here. I don't know if we need CNN but for sure we need peace.

I'm so glad he left. I was really worried about him. Those people are animals.

Re: Lover_Not_a_Hater – What's wrong with you? Is that some sort of backhanded compliment for Anderson Cooper? He didn't BAIL he fled from your confused country. Thanks.

Bet he will be happy to get home to a pair of pants that dont make him sing soprano. Ouch.

I'm glad he's out of there. I don't think any news story is worth risking your life over.
