Looks like this former 2 Live Crew member is ready to go political in the city where the heat is on!
Former 2 Live Crew hip-hopper Luther Campbell has announced that he'll officially be running for Mayor of Miami-Dade, Florida.
Campbell has stated that if elected, the major issues he'll focus on will include job creation, affordable housing, and taxation issues.
The hip-hopper/politician is likely to cause controversy, though, because
he made a song called Face Down Ass Up he wants to tax strippers.
Here's what he had to say about it:
"Even though all my stripper friends are gonna be mad at me, I think we can stimulate the economy with a tax on strippers. They make all this money and don't pay taxes."
"I'd take that cash and put it into a fund where it supports youth athletics for girls, like cheerleading or softball. Or it can go to help pay for existing little girls programs that are struggling to get government assistance."
Inneresting concept, Luther…especially coming from someone who made songs about table dances…
Would U vote for 2 Live Crew's Luther Campbell as your Mayor?
