Kid Rock Defends Little Rock Performance

Kid Rock Plays During Snow

Kid Rock fancies himself a postman when it comes to his live performances!

Recently, Arkansas has been getting a shizz-load of snow. This last batch just happened to be right before a big Kid Rock concert in Little Rock, but Rock decided to go on with the show.

This pissed off a few of his fans (probably a lot!) who would be unable to make the drive due to safety reasons to go see him!

That's bad news for them, but, there were also a lot of people who bought tickets to the show that were closer and COULD make it! Kid Rock didn't want you to put your life in harms way, he just did was he was supposed to be doing that night!

But that hasn't stopped some outrage from fans on his website and other venues, so KRock himself laid down some responses on his site.

Yes, they may have had a few bad words, but he was upset!

Here's what was said to those who couldn't make it:

That's pretty generous!

More about the conditions:

"It's not easy to tour in these conditions and also be stuck on the road with a teenage son at home and in high school. I make alot of money, no question, but i've never ripped anyone off to do it."

We don't think it IS a rip off, Kid!

We can also understand the flip-side of this, though, where we'd be upset to miss a show we were looking forward to because of weather, but in that case, we should blame the weather and not the musician!

Plus, he totally said he'd give you your money back, which you could use to see him the next time!

Hope the tour is going well, and stay safe out there, bb!

First, Yes I am a huge Kid Rock and TBT fan. Kid Rock gets a huge load of crap from the press w/o ever anyone acknowledging his good deeds. Operation Homefront. Spending his holidays overseas to entertain our trips. I even flew to NYC to see him due a benefit concert.HIS ARE THE ONLY CONCERTS I HAVE BEEN TO AND BEEN THANKED FOR SPENDING MY HARD EARNED MONEY ON TICKETS.He keeps the tickets reasonable. And Kid Rock doesn't half ass it. He is the real deal.

For him to pay out of his own pocket money that shouldn't be refunded by him. Where they live, they know snow is likely.

This just goes to show what an outstanding person he is. He is approachable, down to earth, and willing to make things right- even though he really doesn't have to.

Oh, and I think he is one of the best artists. Putting all genres together and rocking and a rolling all night long!

Just 2 wks ago Kid Rock put on a concert in my town which was being hit that very day by a blizzard. On top of bad weather his band didn't even get there till the last 45 minutes of the show due to the weather. This did not stop him. He used the bands of his opening acts & did a show off the cuff. I for one have never had so much fun at a concert & was impressed that he had such a great work ethic & loyalty to his fans that he showed up. He easily could've canceled the concert moved on to the next city. Most likely we just wouldn't have gotten to see the tour since it was so busy plus out of town people would've traveled for no reason. I for one think he is awsome to continue.

people who aren't used to snow don't know how to handle it. i'm sure kid rock thought hmm i know how to handle snow being from the MITTEN, but some people let a little thing deter them and get in their way. LOSERS.

As an Arkansan who had bought tickets and couldn't go, it's great to hear him say he'll give a refund-that's going above and beyond. Except Ticketmaster isn't honoring that at the time and giving refunds.

Yes, we know where we live, but we haven't seen this amount of snow in AR in over 10 years. Our interstates were shut down, numerous accidents (some with fatalities), the governor had called a state of emergency, and we were told NOT to get on the road unless you couldn't avoid it.

After waiting from 10 am that morning, Kid Rock finally posted on his website around 6 pm that night. Us fans who were snowed it were just asking maybe for the concert to be rescheduled or honor the tickets at the upcoming Memphis concert.

Also, I know that over half of the tickets sold were not used..maybe even more. I'm not hating on KR, just saying our circumstances in this situation were something we all were not used to.

Oh, and if you check his website he posted a pic of one of his tour trucks sliding off the road. He acknowledged the weather conditions, so us fans staying home were making a good decision

WTF did they want him to do? If they couldn't make it to the concert on account of the weather or had he canceled because of the weather, they still weren't going to see him now were they?

  9. 9

Good on him. Great way to be

Kid Rock is a class act; a patriot who honors and supports our troops, and a talented star with heart, who demonstrates his appreciation of his AK fans through offering refunds, because they were unable to weather the snow storm.
