Ciara Asks To Be Dropped From Record Label!

There has been a lot of talk about Ciara and her label, Jive Records, the last few days and none of it has been very good. The last we heard, C was getting canned by the label because they were having difficulty finding a place for her and getting her sound in tune with their ideas.
But it seems we have all been misled, as Ciara herself has decided to post an explanation on her Facebook page, detailing exactly what has been going on with her music and the label. She writes:
To my fans:
This week the net has been a buzz of the rumor that I have been dropped from my label. At this point that rumor is false.. It is true that I have asked and I pray that my label will release me. I have had some great times and success with my label, but sometimes like all great things, its at that point where I feel we don't share the same views on who I am as a artist. The past two albums have been very frustrating for me. At times there were songs I chose to lead a project and I was ignored! This project, I even tried to get Gimmie Dat started I spent tens of thousands of my own money only to hear the radio pds tell me my label didn't want the song played. I even spent more than one hundred thousand dollars out of my pocket on the video to bring my vision to it and still no label support. I do understand that some labels are not financially supporting their artists and I have become one of them. You, my fans, know that I strive to do my best to deliver to my you the best songs and creative vision I possibly can. I'm dedicated to my music, performance and to my fans! I've tried to be a team player with the label only to have compromised what I truly believed.. And was not given the right opportunity to promote and inform my fans of the release of this album..I have so much of me as a artist I still want to give to the world and my fans. A release would allow me to go be creative with people who care and understand me as a artist. In a short time, I will be able to bring to you a new music energy and a visual excitement! Thank you so much for standing by me through the good, bad, and the confusion. I love you all.
Love Ciara
Wow. Sounds like a really toxic relationship. We don't understand why they would keep you if they had no intentions of promoting you the way you want to be perceived.
Hopefully some more lives of communication can open up and the label will either give Ciara a chance to do her own thing or cut her loose to pursue other avenues. Either way, something has to be done…and soon.

The Biebs Is A Gracious Loser!

Time for artists to run their own affairs and drop the money hungry labels that are sucking the life out of them.
It's not 2005, nobody cares about Ciara anymore.
Re: Alicia1989 – She's stating the label is the reason for that you dumb bitch, she's trying to do things her own way to get people to care about her again.
i love ciara and i deff still care about her,
and i agree w. perez why would a label keep an artist of they wont promote or support them? then they wont get anywhere.
ciara deserves better and the label will regret it when she makes a comeback!
Re: sanaa – Sorry you must be one of the 5 Ciara fans who bought her last album. Her next one will fail too, don't cry about it.
labels these days don't seem to care about the artist only the moeny take britney spears for example I dought she even wants to have a music career anymore she always looks like she doesn't want to do anything just stay at home with her kids. but wait its her record label forcing her to make a new album and forcing her to promote it.
She makes Willow Smith seem talented…….
They should drop her, for wearing that ugly fuckin dress !
She looks so pretty in that pic.
Lot's of artist have this problem with their label. Only the strong survive. Stay strong Ciara.
you're only popular for so long.
damm she's hot
she wrote: a artist. Twice. LOL
Yes Perez. I agree, Ciara has so much to offer, awesome dancer/entertainer. I hope she brings us back to true dance music and a team that will actually promote her. She is such a class act through it all. I love her so much #teamciara
Re: Alicia1989 – You are bitter, and is a fool. Her single ride sold over 600k copies, 5 people couldn't do that feat nor, making latest album nearing 100k sold, without any support from the label, make sense and stop being so ignorant when it comes to the great Ciara. Idiot.
Re: cboy – Hahaha, "the great Ciara"…. Wow, seriously don't kill yourself when her next album bombs. If she was that great of an artist she wouldn't need big help from the record label, her talent would speak for itself. Sadly, she has none. Sorry the truth hurts
Gimme Dat was amazing. I can't wait for Ciara to get her chance to release her music the way she wants. She was the supporting guest at a Britney Spears concert I went to and she blew Britney outta the water. I remember when I bought The Evolution I must've played it over a hundred times in a row.
