Facebook Newsfeed Changes…AGAIN
Don't worry! Your friends don't hate you!
If you've noticed that you are no longer seeing updates from ALL of your friends and that some people seem to be ignoring you on your Facebook newsfeed, it's not because they've intentionally blocked you.
According to engineer Matt Kelly, the "New Facebook" has changed their newsfeed default setting to automatically show ONLY posts from people who you interact with the most, or have interacted with you recently.
In fact, Matt says, "unless your friends/fans commented on one of your posts within those few weeks or vice versa – you are now invisible to them and they are invisible to you!!"
UGH!!
As with all things Facebook, you need to go back into settings and edit the options yourself.
Here's what to do if you want to see your friends again:
Scroll down to the bottom of the newsfeed on the homepage and click on “Edit Options”, click on “Show Posts From” and change the setting to “All Of Your Friends and Pages” Note: This is the fix for personal pages but I am unsure of whether or not the business pages are set up the same way.
It's such a shame that Facebook keeps changing their settings and not telling their users!

So glad you posted this. I found out from friends and it drives me nuts. I don't mind changes, but at least tell me about them.
so fucking annoying
First of all, this has been the case for many, many months now.
Secondly, this is in fact not shady, but rather a tool to help weed through people you may not be close with in order show what's happening with close family/friends. Most people would prefer to primarily interact with those close to them- you are clearly the exception.
Fixation on celebrities and people you don't interact with for up to weeks at a time is what's actually shady here.

I checked mine and it was not set automatically to that at all! I do HATE all their stupid changes! I wish we could decide how we want things to look and whatnot…I HATE the tiny font they force on us now too!

Even with the "show all friends" enabled it still doesn't show all. Last night my feed showed 160 new updates and I literally could only see about 25 new updates.

this how myspace was, started doing little changes look at it noww its ALONE
You should see the stupid fan page changes…they've put the posts in order of relevancy…whose brilliant idea was that!?!?! And you can post as your page, but only to other pages. How does that help us interact with our public? Stooooopid.
