Grammy Reporter May Be Alright After All!

| Filed under: TV NewsSad SadGrammys

There are conflicting reports, but we sincerely hope that this is the case.

Earlier today, a reporter's flub during last night's coverage of the Grammys went viral as many thought she had gotten tongue-tied in the moment. Shortly after the video circulated, sources reported that the woman, Serene Branson, was immediately rushed to the hospital and it was rumored she may have suffered a stroke on air.

However, another source is reporting better news. While it is true that Serene was tended to by medical personal, this new report states that Serene was merely checked out by EMT personnel and sent home with a friend after the broadcast.

We're really hoping for the best for her, so we hope she's well enough that this is true and she's home right now, without any further complications.

Our thoughts and best wishes are still with her and her family during this difficult time.

    That's crazy!!!

If this is true, those EMTs should be fired. I hope someone called her friend immediately and had her taken to a hospital to be checked out by real professionals.

  3. 3

Amazing.. I've seen cases like this on TV and it turns out to be serious.. I hope she's ok

good job making the correction on this story. When I first heard the sound bite on the radio this morning it was funny to listen to. Then it was corrected and said she had possible suffered a strok and that made it not funny at all. Good job Perez!

I have a feel she is faking it!! perhaps she can't just laugh at herself and move on…. idk just a thought.

That happened to me twice in 2 years and I was told I had a "complicated migraine". I had young children in my care and I could not speak! Very scary!!!

  7. 7

The same thing happens to me when I get REALLY bad migranes. It doesn't happen often but there have been times where my vision gets blurred and I suddenly can't speak properly just before a killer migrane hits.

Since when are EMT's able to diagnose? EMT'S can't even legally break skin. I find it hard to believe they would send her on her merry way after somet type of neuro event. Unless one of those EMTs has MRI/MRA vision all they can do is pretty much take vital signs. Even a paramedic can't clear a patient, and even a neurosurgeon can't diagnose a TIA without tests. You are so stupid.

Watching that clip reminded me of my father. He had the same thing happen. It was a transient ischemic attack, or mini stroke. Sometimes they last only for a few minutes and then go away as if they never happened. Whatever it was I hope she sees her doctor. I agree about the EMTs, they should have taken her to the hospital if she was leaving it up to them to decide.

    I hope she's okay. Scary.

Dang. Bless her heart. Hope she is doing better. Reminds me of a person who has suffered a stroke.

  12. 12

Oh my god! D: Hope she's alright.

Wow I just realized when you first posted this you put it under "Silly!". Are you fucking kidding me? No wonder why you have no real friends Mario.

Re: La Gucci – Yes. Exactly! My vision went first and then I could not speak right. The first time it happened I was going through my mail and I could not READ. I literally couldn't sound out the words or form sentences!

This is not something to be overlooked. This woman should be having a CT scan, among other tests, immediately.

Poor Lady! She is NOT drunk, stupid etc. Expressive Dysphasia with T.I.A. Google it!
    Lets hope she is ok

wow, i am just watching this video for the first time today and i really hope that she is okay, i don't know what she suffered but you can sort of see it on her face at some point but she just kept on smiling. i hope she gets seen by a neurologist STAT.
