KCBS Confirms Grammy Reporter Is Feeling Fine, But Many Still Concerned For Journalist

Phew! We're glad this has all been cleared up.

We've finally gotten official word from KCBS about the condition of Serene Branson, the TV reporter whose coverage of the Grammys went viral this morning after many speculated she suffered a stroke on air.

A KCBS spokesman released an official statement just moments ago.

They say she was never taken to the hospital. Apparently, paramedics were called to the scene, but upon arriving they found her "vital signs were normal." The spokesman added:

"She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home, and she says she is feeling fine this morning."

And that's all that really matters! Happy to hear you're doing well right now, Serene, however you should probably still get checked out by a neurologist!

Can't believe they didn't take her to the hospital. A person doesn't start babbling gibberish for no reason. Hopefully, she gets checked out by her Doc today. I would certainly want to know what the hell caused that and make sure it didn't happen again.

She still needs to go to the doctor and have some tests run. Something happened to her and she didn't flub her lines. That is a sign of something serious.

Just because she didn't see a doctor doesn't mean all is well especially if its neurological. Paramedics arent equipped to do extensive neurological tests on site.

I hope this isn't brushed off and she does see a real doctor as a precaution.

She needs to go get checked out. That is really scary. The first few hours are the most important when you have signs of a stroke. And that was classic. They should have taken her to the hospital immediately. She is very lucky that it didn't advance any further. But, definitely a warning sign for something abnormal.

wow, your vitals can be perfectly fine and you can still be having a stroke. with those symptoms, she should've went to the hospital emergently for a head ct and been evaluated by a doctor. i take care of stroke patients and that's exactly what their speech looks like! it's really sad that people don't know the signs and symptoms of a stoke and that they don't take them seriously. time is brain and now it's too late for her!!

wow, your vitals can be perfectly fine and you can still be having a stroke. she can also wake up the next morning feeling fine and still have had a stroke!! with those symptoms, she should've went to the hospital emergently for a head ct and been evaluated by a doctor. i take care of stroke patients and that's exactly what their speech looks like! it's really sad that people are so ignorant and don't take these things seriously.

I also get migraines and the same thing happened to me. I just couldn't seem to grasp onto any words at all but I knew what I wanted to say. I just really couldn't get the words to connect to what I was thinking. It's really scary.

Her producers should have insisted she be transported to the hospital and not return to work until she was completely exam'd.

But now she can sue them for workman's comp because SHE could never be held responsible for trying to determine her medical condition at that moment. Only a doctor could tell what's happening after an MRI. So you go ahead Serena, sue those jagoffs who couldn't be bothered with possibly saving your life!

Sounds like "Petite Mal" epilepsy which are brief seizures that can be controlled with minimal medication. They can cause a brief staring moment or repeat of the same words, garbled that they want to get out. Hope she is going fine.

No need to worry this skank has Epilepsy that is why she was not taken to the hospital. Very common. All she needs is a good fuck and a good sleep and she is good to go till the next time.

That's not normal. If they were concerned enough to have someone else drive her home, you wouldn't think it was just an eff-up on her part. Some people DO have migraines that mirror stroke symptoms but considering most people with migraines wouldn't be able to stand those bright lights and loud noises, I'd be surprised if it was that considering how functional everything else appeared with her. There is something called a Transient Ischemic Attack. It's basically a small focal blockage that causes impairments but clears relatively quickly. It's not a good sign though…

I have seizures too and can babble like she did. She needs to have a MRI and EEG immediately. That would catch a stroke diagnosis as well. In the very least I hope she isn't driving a damn car so she can seize out or have a stroke and cause a car accident. Totally irresponsible to not go get a through examination.

She could have had a TIA (trans ischemic attack) which is basically a mini stroke that has symptoms that can resolve fairly quickly. She could be at risk for a CVA. She MUST get checked out.
