But maybe that is a good thing.
After being nominated for a Grammy this past weekend (yay!), sources caught up with Robyn to ask her about any upcoming music she might release. The success of Dancing On My Own and her three Body Talk EPs, which have sold 91,000 copies so far, would lead one to believe that she can handle putting out a full-length album.
However, it isn't that Robyn isn't capable of doing it, she just doesn't really see the point. Her focus right now is to bring balance to performing her music in studio and live in front of her fans. She explains:
"The plan is to keep going and recording shorter albums so that I can keep my touring and my recording processes equal. I just want to keep a flow, just stay inspired and keep working, and it feels like it's possible with this way of working. I wasn't sure in the beginning if people would get it, but they did, which is really cool. I'm touring a lot more than I thought I would, so I'm very happy about how I've been able to connect to my audience."
Whatever works for you, bb. Personally, we agree whole-heartedly…but mostly because we love to see you perform live and we don't want anything to get in the way of that!
It may be a more risky move with her career, but so far its paid off, so why not keep it up?
