Christina Applegate On Being A Mother

| Filed under: Baby BlabberChristina Applegate

This must be such an unbelievable gift, especially after everything she's had to go through in the past few years.

Christina Applegate has opened up to People Magazine (above) about giving birth to her new daughter, Sadie Grace, and has revealed what an unbelievable blessing it has been to become a mother!

She explains:

"I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and like wrap itself around her. It was profound. And I'm more in love with her every minute of the day. I want to be the ultimate burper and diaper-changer, I want to be the ultimate at all of it. Sometimes I stand there going, 'I'm not doing any of this right!' And then I get this big man belch out of her and I go, 'Ah, we accomplished this together.' Yeah, now I'm Mom. She's healed me in so many ways. She's just made my life so much better. She's opened my whole soul."

So touching! We cannot express how absolutely thrilled we are for them!

You deserve this happiness, bb! Our sincerest congratulations!

That's really sweet. Congratulations to her and her family.

Puke. Another celebrity pimping out their kid for a magazine cover. The child is barely weeks old! Pathetic.

babies aren't miracles. conception is the most ordinary thing on the planet, other than death…

My goodness. The MIRACLE of babies is overpopulating the earth! What a miracle…AMEN. In other news, Christina has a history of breast cancer in her family. Christina carries the BRCA-1 gene which increases her risk for both breast AND ovarian cancer. Women with BRCA-1 almost certainly get breast cancer and are at a high increase for ovarian cancer. Yet Christina felt the need to reproduce and, specifically, to have a DAUGHTER. Her daughter is now most likely effed up with the same faulty genes as Christina and will most likely have to get an early mastectomy and early hysterectomy like Christina (and you know hers is coming soon). Why put a child through this? I mean really? Why not adopt? Or, why not use genetic technology to have a BOY instead? It's just so selfish. All she cares about is being a MOM. Doesn't care at all about what her daughter will have to go through. It's irresponsible.

Sadie is a really trashy name.

Cute, but why do celebrities always think they are the first persons to ever give birth? Yes, we know it has changed your whole lives, and your babies are the most wonderful things in the world.

We know cancer did not stop her….do you think a baby will finally get her to stop smoking?????? Hope so….

Re: gnarly8 – Every new mom is head over heels in love with their baby, not just famous ones.

Re: Dave Letterman - staff fucker – I couldn't agree more with your intelligent comment. I feel sorry for that little girl, what a heritage her mother has given her. When she is older she'll have to worry constantly about breast cancer, what a life ! I think Christina was foolish and selfish to have a baby. Yes she should have adopted.

Re: LazaroSi3333 – You espouse eugenics? Everyone will eventually die of something; even you, so I guess no one should have children.

Re: @v@ – Well hey, Hitler obviously allowed stupidity to survive because HERE YOU ARE! Dumbass. You are so abundantly stupid that I know no rebuttal/explanation will make sense to you. So I'm not even going to try.

Re: Dave Letterman - staff fucker – this is just stupid, my mother family has the gene, so it was selfish of her that she gave birth to me and my sister? half of this god damn planet has it, so what?
