Rapper Lil Wayne totally crushed the record for the most, like, Facebook "Likes" EVER in a 24-hour period just 5 hours after foolish Nabisco thought they held a piece of history.
Yesterday, Oreo attempted to set the record with a post to the brand’s Facebook Wall, reading:
“‘Like’ this post to join Oreo fans around the world in setting a Guinness World Record for most “Likes” to a post in 24 hours. Oreo is the world’s favorite cookie, and with your help, it will be the most ‘Liked.’”
Shortly after Wayne got wind of this, he took matters into his own hands and announced to fans he was also going for the record.
At the end of each competitors 24-hour period, the results were in!
Oreo did claim the record with 114,619 "likes", but not for long.
5 hours later, Wayne crumbled the cookies' dreams with 588,243 "likes"!
Does this, like, make, Lil Wayne the king of Facebook? Ha!
