Detroit Residents May Not Get A RoboCop Statue…But They Will Get A Reboot!

| Filed under: Film FlickersWacky, Tacky & TrueBusiness Blitz

robocop reboot in the works once again at mgm

Yesterday, we heard the heartwarming tale of Detroit residents and their efforts to raise money to get a RoboCop statue erected.

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing may not be giving the O-K for the statue, but at least the half-human/half-robot will return in some form, now that MGM HAS given the O-K on the long-delayed RoboCop reboot!

Other remakes/reboots in the works at MGM include new versions of Mr. Mom, The Idolmaker, and Poltergeist.

Come on, Bing! How can you pass on the statue NOW? RoboCop is about to become a HUGE deal once again! This is a PERFECT time to build that statue!

Just sayin'!

Are U excited for the RoboCop reboot? How about the statue? Hah!

As a Detroiter, I definitely think it would be cool to have a Robocop statue… but raising all that money and then using it to build a STATUE, instead of using it on the public schools or addressing the 50k+ stray dogs in the streets, seems wasteful.

Yeah, a ridiculous statue is just what Detroit needs to blow money on….

Detroit IS getting a Robocop statue. Fans have raised enough private money to do so. Just Google "Robocop statue."
