      I am a MEGA Britney fan and I didn't like it that much at all. So far I would say HIAM is about 400x better than this. Larry Rudolph has said her 2nd single is better than any Britney song EVER, so either this is a crappy part of it or I am hella confused!

      Britney hardly uses auto-tune. Fact. If you're talking about the "come on" part, yea that's edited but that's for effect, not because her voice sucks. If you watch behind the scenes stuff when she's singing into the mic and she's using that high register Jive loves so much, she's Really singing. Her voice sounds like that on the record even if they do use auto-tune. Kanye West and Owl City. Now that's auto-tune.

      I love the snippet from what we have. I hope it's the next single. Otherwise, why show us now? It sounds cool.

      BTW, Perez and the rest of you crazed Monsters - The fast editing cuts in Britney's "Hold it Against Me" video was not to hide the fact that she "can't dance"… We all know that Britney has always been one of the best dancers ever! The entire video had those fast editing cuts, and it is supposed to be symbolic of her life, pop culture, and the intense pressures of fame all merged together to create a whirlwind of overwhelming excitement and confusion, but in the end she rises above and just dances to the music.
      The video has shitloads of reference to pop culture, and my personal belief is that all of the "product placement" in her video wasn't because she was endorsing the products. All the "product placement" was just one more pop culture reference about how some stars (*Cough*Lady gaga*) use so much of it (Plenty of Fish anyone?). The video frames deliberately focused in on the "products".. if it were real product placement, it would be more subliminal.. In the end, the video is fucking brilliant and easily the best she's ever done. :)

Have you seen the poll on this site that asks people which single they like better? The last time I looked 80% of people voted Hold It Against Me, while 20% voted Born This Way. Over 200 000 people voted. So it is clear who is better here.

      Lady Gaga said in a phone interview that she knew the world was going to hate on Born This Way. If she was focusing on the people, then why would she do something she knew the people would hate? You can't say she focuses on other people when she CLEARLY stated otherwise. Britney's new music video isn't about nothing. It has a much deeper meaning to it. It shows the course of her career. In the beginning she puts on clothes and makeup, just like she did when she first started in the music industry. Then she's in the white dress and she's rising with all of her pre-breakdown music videos, showing that those are the music videos that rose her to fame. Then she begins to fight herself, which shows her personal stuggle. Then colors begin to squirt colors all over her dress and her music videos, showing that it made her image and previous work ruined to the public, because nobody cared about her work anymore, just her struggle with herself. Eventually she fell, but she got back up and in the end where she's dancing shows her comeback and that she's bigger than ever.
