Glad to hear he is committed!

Last night at a red carpet event, director Adam Shankman confessed that Tom Cruise has been working extra hard in preparing for his lead role in Rock Of Ages. For some time now, Tommy has been rumored to be stepping into the rocking shoes Stacee Jaxx for the film adaptation of the play, but we haven't heard too much on the progress he and the film are making. Adam's put us at ease by praising Tommy efforts to bring a real edge to the role. He explained to sources:

"I think we're going to see him, every drop, the rock 'n' roll god! I'm very excited. He's so committed to doing it. He's pouring himself in this part in a way I've never had an actor do… it's pretty intense…Between the voice lessons, the incredible study… researching the period, it's like 1987, just going there!"

Righteous, dude! We have some real doubts about Tommy pulling off any musical numbers, but we're happy to hear he is giving the role the attention it deserves.

You know, Katie can always help you with the dancing! Ha!

I wonder if he and Travolta get their hairpieces from the same place….

Why does he look so little/wizened in this picture? He looks like he is 60 years old, 5 feet tall & weighs 100 pounds.

What a weird choice. With all the people who would be great in the part, why put him in? Funny he's researching the 80's, since he was in his 20's in the 80's!

Firstly, he's not 4 — his name is Tom. Mr. Tom Cruise has ALWAYS been one of the hardest working actors in the business. The salacious media decided he was too high on the perch and ripped him to shreds for showing his humanity. What did he do, you ask? Drugs? Murder? Cheat or Steal? No, nothing so pedestrian as those! He got on Oprah and declared his love for Katie Holmes. The man is an icon, he films are with few exceptions, if any, excellent and his performances are always spot on. It has been BEYOND stupid what was done to this good man. Oh, and, btw, his religion is his own damn business. There's no difference in his beliefs and anyone else's — they are all incredulous to those who do not share them. That's why it's called faith.

It's the cult king. Little Tom Cruise and the scientology sheep. It's sad that none of them can read. If they could, they would know they were in a big crooked CULT. I'm not giving them any of my money.

HE WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER HIT UNTILL HE DEFLATES HIS BIG ASS HEAD AND BRING HIMSELF BACK DOWN TO EARTH WHERE THE REST OF THE WORLD LIVE….
HE THINKS HE'S ABOVE EVERYONE AND KNOWS EVERYTHING AND UNTIL HE START KISSING THE WORLDS ASS AGAIN AND START TO ACT LIKE A HUMAN BEING THEN MAYBE JUST MAYBE PEOPLE WILL APPRECIATE HIS TALENT AGAIN, BUT UNTIL THEN NO ONE WANTS TO SEE HIM DO GOOD IN ANYTHING…
    KARMA…

Lose the smirk Tom, it doesn't work, does not look cool, rather looks eerie.
