Netflix V. Amazon Redux

Remember when we let you guys know that Amazon was positioning itself to release a Netflix competitor service for its Amazon Prime members?

Well that has gone live, and we wanna hear how it is!

Not only that, but will you Netflix users stick with it even though it costs slightly more than Prime's $79 dollars a year?

We guess that the real cool thing about the Prime program is that it includes that free two-day shipping, but we haven't seen the quality of the streaming yet!

Do U have Prime? Let us know what it's like!!

Just checked it out … Not too shabby on the work computer, anxious to get home and test it out on the big screen!
The picture quality is comparable to NetFlix stream on the PS3 and there weren't any issues with connection or buffering.
    Yay!

I have been with Netflix almost since the beginning…so I will stay a loyal Netflix user!

I have both Netflix and Amazon on my Roku. Amazon has great picture quality, as does Netflix. I've had no problems at all with Amazon so far. The HD quality is better than expected, especially for streaming video.

yes, I have it and I LOVE it! Quality is great Perez. I just plug my laptop in to my tv and voila!, good quality movies at my fingertips!

I dont think amazon's quality is as good as netflix. but prime users don't get all the shows/movies for free nor does amazon have the selection that netflix does. for example, they don't have 10 things i hate about you or pretty woman. they have a lot of older movies and shows and a lot of british shows. also, some movies you still have to pay for, like how to lose a guy in 10 days and runaway bride. maybe once they get started theyll have more but right now, netflix is still the best

I actually prefer Amazon over Netflix. We watch in HD on a 55inch and the quality is super awesome!

it's a big fail for me.
I'm an Amazon Prime member. But since my membership was EARNED through a rewards program… I don't get the streaming services. I would have to pay an ADDITIONAL $79 PLUS I would lose the months (12) that I have already earned through the program if I signed up for streaming services.
So yeah… I'm a little pissed at Amazon

I've had amazon prime for probably 5 years now I think and I enjoyed it without no perks, but now with movie streaming I'm really stoked. I'm glad I've stucked by amazon for all these years It's my favorite place to buy stuff and now free movies…WOW!!!!!

the real test will be how good the selection is. pretty sure that netflix has way more than 5000 streaming titles. and the difference in price per month is only $2. i think i'll be keeping my beloved netflix :)
