High Powered Lawyers, Assemble! Lindsay Needs Your Help!

| Filed under: Lindsay LohanLegal Matters

lindsay and her lawyer team up with blair berk

You can get as many lawyers as you want Lindsay, but we don't think it's going to change the undeniable fact that you're going to do some time.

Today, Lindsay showed up at high powered lawyer Blair Berk's office, in an effort to get another pair of eyes to review the evidence against her, and for some help with strategy.

We really don't think this was necessary, especially because it must have cost A LOT of money. We think Shawn Chapman Holley gave it a strong effort, but the fact is there's too much evidence pointing against you, Lindz.

Ya know, Lindsay, if you put half as much effort into staying out of trouble as you're putting into trying to stay out of jail right now, you'd be in fantastic shape!

Do U think more legal advice will make any difference for Lindsay in this case?

Your breaking news is a B. Spears announcement and nothing of the Sheen debacle? Disappointed. :(

  2. 2

get someone to talk to the AG but she maybe won't turn out right

  3. 3

trial is great for lawyers, judges, police and bailiffs. she knows the law - take to a jury

  4. 4

people from the morning hacking cult dropped the "it" to a jury

  5. 5

Lindsay is just grasping for straws. No amount of legal counsel in the world can get a dismissal on her being a thief.

Going full on legal team? Hey it worked for O.J.!! Good luck with that!! Google Search keywords "The Media Jerk" to read Heartless criticism of the day's biggest celebrity news stories!!

I feel sorry for her because she has dumb ass white trash parents…but at some point you have to follow the rules.
There is a reason we have laws and a reason that we put those who can not abide by them in prison. Her color and class and celebrity has no place in these proceedings.

trial used to work great in the morning, people eager for lunch. when the judge all rise, a real celebrity defendant - at this sentencing she will better wear less affected hollywood attire, wear black stockings and little girl color mini skirts, clomper heels with nun white blouse

Re: LovelyCup – So true. And a crappy graphic for this story. WTH?

thief is a way to describe converting stolen goods, they may be stolen by a thief or not, both sides armed with money, the passing of merchandise entails an agreement she is worthy of being a customer in a taxed building. while cavalry forces claim the greatest of heraldry in american history womens rights suffered right at the start of sherrifs enterprises

Not a fan but if I was in her position I would use everybody I could to try and stay out of jail especially if she doesn't believe she stole the necklace.
Regardless, its a bad situation all around.

Lindsay has one choice, and one choice only …. she must go through the preliminary hearing and prove that she did not have the intent to steal. Period. The colossal downside is that at that hearing, which has a very low "more likely than not" standard of proof, should the judge feel that there is a mere likelihood of her having committed the theft, she will then be held to answer to the charges and she will proceed to trial. In about 99.95 of the cases, a defendant will be held to answer and proceed to trial. At that point, pre-trial motions, plea negotiations and further investigation would probably resolve the issues. HOWEVER, with that nasty probation violation hanging over her head, that same standard will, alone, violate her probation. So, she will sit in jail serving six months to a year on the probation violation while her lawyers prepare her defense to the trial. If they can't beat the evidence at the preliminary hearing, girlfriend looses big time. In layman's terms, it sucks to be Lindsay.

Re: TAPATiO – what the fuck are you babbling about ? are you high or just stupid ?

  15. 15

Only an idiot would take this case - or someone desperate enough to take headlines over actual billable hours payment.

Re: ms trudy – I know me and you have had words here before but you must know the truth about TAPATio: he's that psycho Chewy Edible Styrofoam something or other. He usually posts Jared Loughner style ramblings but I caught him 2 times posting coherent shit. He's a psycho troll. Very peculiar method of eliciting responses though.
As for Lindz, she needs 4-5 months behind bars and a year of in-patient sober living not a coterie of lawyers to get her out of jail. If not she'll be dead before she's 35. It's sad :(

Re: Nathiestx – If the video proves that Lindsay made arrangements to borrow the necklace as she claimed, the DA would not have pursued the case; why would she deliberately choose to prosecute a losing case against someone that most people want to see locked up. In an election year. Shawn just saw the video for the first time yesterday. My guess is she told Lindsay if it gets shown to a jury, she'll be convicted. Hence Lindsay's visit to another lawyer, hoping for a different anser. As for the judge, he was simply being blunt with her. She's going to do jail time if she cops a plea because it's a de facto violation of her probation. She's demanding a plea bargain that entails NO jail time, and the judge made it clear she's not getting that kind of deal. And the matter of missing curfew and refusing a drug/alcohol test at Betty Ford can come into play. Even if there was no physical altercation, refusal to take the drug/alcohol test is a de facto violation of her probation, which means jail time. All the glitzy lawyers in the world aren't going to get her off this time.

  19. 19

I hope that her lawyers are smart enough to get their fees up front and not bill her. She will never pay them if she doesn't pay up front. That would be so funny. Them putting a judgement against her for non payment of services rendered. She isn't responsible about anything else, why would she all of a sudden turn around and pay them.

  20. 20

Perez, that was some good advice for Lindsay now if she would only think about it.

  21. 21

poor girl has been serioulsy screwed up by her parents. They are the ones who should go to jail. I don't think she is ever going to be able to straighten out and live a normal life

  22. 22

Re: Cheryl Helm – The description of the video is exactly the same. The only difference is the prosecutors point of view of it. Prosecutors make a play for cases they cannot win all the time. What they hope for is fear. Fear that's leads the innocent into taking a plea deal. Or they hope that the jury will convict just because the defendant isn't generally likable. The prosecutors are posturing, it's what they do.

  23. 23

Bitch can forget it, she is going to JAIL! Maybe this will teach her the lesson she should have learned several years ago. If not, there will be a cell with her name on it just waiting for that ass when she's ready to come back home.

  24. @v@ says – reply to this

She has it backasswards. She's paying huge bucks for yet more lawyers, when she should only be pulling IN big bucks for actually doing a movie or movies.
Living like a train wreck is expensive, and it's going the wrong bloody way.
