In WTF News: Pete Doherty To Star In Period Drama!

| Filed under: Pete DohertyFilm FlickersWacky, Tacky & True

Seriously?! And who exactly thinks that he's going to be coherent enough to make it through filming?

Libertines frontman Pete Doherty has reportedly signed on to play womanizing French poet Alfred de Musset in an adaptation of his novel, La Confession d'un Enfant du Siècle, alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg as the female lead!

Reports reveal that production began on Monday in Germany, which will take the place of France for the purposes of the film.

Wow! We had no idea that he had ANY interest in acting, let alone would be able to snag such a big role!

We'll be VERY interested to see how this turns out! Here's hoping he surprises us all and pulls out a good performance!

BTW I think that's his own jewelry line that he is wearing. He will be awesome in that movie. I'm not sure if many of you know but he went to Oxford University. So even though he's had his crazies there is a very clever side to him as well if he'll let us look inside.

    A little late, aren't we?
Production began… in France, in Bourg-en-Bresse… in January.

Once again, you got everything wrong!
