Look like Sean Penn is making new buddies left and right!

On tonight's premiere of No Reservations, Anthony Bourdain travels to Haiti, and visits Sean Penn in his "tent city."

Here's what Bourdain says about it in the episode's intro:

"We've shot a lot of places around the world. This is one of the places of the world where the people are the most hostile toward the camera. They do not want to be on camera."

We wouldn't worry about it too much, Anthony. We have a feeling that Sean Penn's got your back!

Hope it was a lovely trip, and hope you two had a nice time together!

Will U tune in to see Anthony Bourdain's Haiti episode of No Reservations?

"We've shot a lot of places around the world. This is one of the places of the world where the people are the most hostile toward the camera. They do not want to be on camera." put it in context please. He says the people in Hatti are tired of all the pictures going back to America and nothing happens. They feel like a circus freak show.

I love Tony and his show.
    Haiti? Sure, I'm in.
It'll be nice change to watch an uplifting story, besides all the misery we have here in the States!

"Hope it was a lovely trip, and hope you two had a nice time together!"

This comment is a little insensitive and really makes light of the situation in Haiti. I'm pretty sure Bourdain didn't go down just to socialize with Sean Penn while sampling rice & beans…

I have been to Haiti. Although the intent to help bring exposure to this country is good hearted most of the residents of Haiti are either religiously opposed to film/photography (many believe that these forms of documentation imprison the soul) or are just sick and tired of being a "circus freak show". They have had SO many people come and take photos while not nearly as many people have come to actually stay and help. This is a struggling country that has lost most of its exposure after the first month of media coverage. Thank god Sean Penn has enough heart and soul to stay and actually follow through. So-when you say that Sean "has his back" you obviously don't know much. Unless you go and help, please refrain from commenting on the current conditions of Haiti and why the residents are opposed to the embarassing media coverage and ongoing/exploitative media coverage they are currently being subjected to.

Mr. Bourdain, you want hostility toward the camera? Go to Egypt.

"No Reservations" is the most intelligent, best written show currently on television.
