Katie Holmes Drops $50 Million Lawsuit Bomb On Star Magazine For Libel
Katie Holmes has had enough of tabloids blatantly saying false and untrue things, so she's taking one to court!
What did the tabloid say?
Well, it used (of course) a shocking cover to get people to read it, and then the article had very little to do with the front page. It read:
"ADDICTION NIGHTMARE - Katie DRUG SHOCKER! The real reason she can’t leave Tom.”
She'll be suing American Media Inc. for $50 Mil, the company that owns the Star tabloid, for libel.
Here's what we've heard so far:
"We see these tabloids every week," said attorney Aaron Miller of Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman and Machtinger. "They’ve been attacking her and her husband for years now, and she finally said, 'Enough is enough'. She wants to stand up for her legal rights. This is such an outrageous statement, this idea that this loving mother is on drugs, or suffering an addiction nightmare – there’s not a shred of truth to it."
Good for you, KT! Stand up for your reputation!
You've got enough going on in your life, gurl, from your career to your family, that you don't need people reading tabloids everywhere with blatantly false information!

Hey look! It's another bluff lawsuit to try to cover up a factual story. Funny how celebs always ignore story after story, then "sue" when one comes out that to close to the truth. It's pretty much a beacon that the story in question is true. Not to mention that the lawsuit never actually happens, it's just a bluff to pretend like their "offended". These mags know full well they are in the clear since ALL stories are cleared by layers before they are printed. Oh, and you forgot to mention that Star's lawyers said they'd love to go to court over this, they've got LOTS of questions to ask! HaHA!
