Shame On You, Andy Cohen!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooPS22 ChorusOscars

This is just shameful!

While James Franco has been the recipient of most of the criticism regarding this year's Academy Awards, Bravo's Andy Cohen has instead chosen to lash out the PS 22 Chorus' performance of Somewhere Over The Rainbow at the end of the ceremony!

He says:

"There was a thing called ‘Up With People’ in the ’70s or ’80s. … Oscar night is not about 'Up With People.' Like, I don’t need to see that. It was just bad. It was just awful. It was horrible. A public school chorus singing Somewhere Over The Rainbow? I literally, if I wasn’t going to go out to some parties, I would have slit them right then. It was the worst. I was looking for a knife to stick in my eyes. It was so terrible. Not the time. Everything has its time and place; the end of the Oscars? We don't want to see this. You just ruined everything."

Wow. Just so uncalled for and waaay too far!

You didn't have to like it, but there is NO need to be this cruel to a group of children!

ESPECIALLY when your idea of a musical performance is having Kim Zolciak or Danielle Staub croak out whatever auto-tuned abomination they've decided to curse the world with on Watch What Happens!

So unfair and mean!

What do U think?? Did Andy take it too far??

    Who is this dirty jew?

  2. 102

Cohen's right! What the hell were these lip syncing kids doing there and singing a HORRIBLE song that had NOTHING to do with the Oscars! Sad for the kids to be exploited in such a disgusting way!

  3. 103

Let me just say this. Perezis not wrong. Andy Cohen and all of you people are fucking ridiculous sad excuses for human beings. They are children, it made their fucking life. Those talented children singing at the oscars had no effect on your pointless lives.shame on all of you.

Is he going to rage against orphaned puppies next week?

  5. 105

Um, I have to agree with Andy Cohen. And I'm not picking on 10 year old kids. I'm picking on the idiot producers who set them up to fail. That closer was a hot mess. It sucked- and the adults who let it happen are fucking retarded.

  6. 106

He's right! Who cares about kids at the Oscars

  7. 107

Couldn't agree more with Mr. Cohen's statements.

Re: Chrissy1988 – Apparently you have forgotten WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE 10. For God sake. It was sweet and for these children a once in a lifetime experience. THAT'S WHAT THE ARTS ARE ALL ABOUT. Not the trash that Mr. Cohen produces and that you obviously watch.

Re: disko2k – Ummm no he's not; he's talking about 10 year old children from an inner city school most of whom will never leave the area.

  10. 110

Americans are basically ignorant, arrogant, selfish and unkind.

  11. 111

I agree with Andy 110%. Send the kids to Idol but they had no business at the Oscars. It was horrible and was not the place for them!!

  12. 112

    whatever. i still like him.

  13. 113

Who the hell is Andy Cohen?

  14. 114

It was a joke of a performance. It was however the perfect end to the biggest clusterfuck in awards show history

  15. 115

awww. that's really mean. he doesn't have to like it but it's so wrong to talk shit about a bunch of kids. and why is he making it sound like nothing good can come out of public schools? that's rude.

  16. 116

This from the person that loves Rihanna, Katy Perry and Gaga…They have great voices…I mean please…

  17. 117

bravo is his job. that's what he is paid to do…

i didn't care for their performance. i thought it was underwhelming, boring and dare i say, embarrassing.

  18. 118

Harsh but he is kind of right. It didn't fit the Oscars at all and they weren't all that great.

  19. 119

Re: FemaleFilmMajor – Ooh wow, I get it you're being sarcastic! Hey too bad, cause I would have agreed with you if you were being serious.

WHAT A FUCKING DOUCHE BAG! I always thought so anyway but thanks for my confirmation!

  21. 121

well he was rude HOWEVER they did suck and just because theyre kids doesnt mean you have to have nothing but praise for them

  22. 122

Andy Cohen needs to go away ! His Housewives franchise is beyond tired ! Who needs to see more middle aged women with fake boobs, lips and hair acting like they're 20-something.
He promotes every stereotype in the book (whether they be Jersey, Afirican-American, and now Latina), exploits them for all their worth and then has them on his stupid show to ridicule them ! He's laughing all the way to the bank !
