Good! Glad to see them taking the high road - especially after such an uncalled for, unnecessarily mean criticism!

Despite Bravo programming director Andy Cohen's harsh comments toward the PS 22 Chorus and their Oscar performance, choral director Gregg Breinberg isn't letting it bother him, and simply responded by saying:

"Anyone who would diss 10-year-old public school kids probably has some issues."

Agreed!

We can't imagine how brave those kids must have been to get up their and sing in front of such a huge room full of celebrities, and although we think everyone has a right to their opinion, there was no need to lash out in such a negative way - let alone say you wanted to "slit them!"

Way too far!

We think those kids deserve an apology!

Thoughts??

fyi, he apologized last night on watch what happens live! :]

  2. 2

and he declared himself the "jackhole" of the week! lol

  3. 3

Perez, stop the drama. Andy apologized last night on Watch What Happens Live. And I kind of agree with him…the kids are awesome, but not for the Oscars. Maybe some more informal award, like MTV, Teen Choice, etc.

  4. 4

    They were horrible.

  5. 5

Andy Cohen actually did apologize on his show last night, Watch Whats Happening Live and he named himself the "Jackhole of the Week", which we all know is really saying something because we all know there has been another big Jackhole running around out there this week CS. :-)
Andy feels bad about what he said, and was man enough to say so.

All Cohen really said was that the PS22 appearance was inappropriate for the Oscars. I totally agree with him and I don't think he owes anyone an apology for saying what he thinks.

  7. 7

he apologized, great sources as usual. are we allowed not to like the performance?????

  8. 8

He is being honest. However cutesy the kids were supposed to be, it wasn't the time or place for them to perform. The choice of clothing for these kids was appalling - too informal. The whole segment was very tacky. Blame the producers, not the kids. Those who let this get past the concept stage should be embarrassed.

  9. 9

He DID apologize. Stop trying to sensationalize things.

  10. 10

SERIOUSLY? More than one person has told you that he already apologized. Read your comments!

  11. 11

the oscars should have fronted $ to dress the kids in something better than a tee shirt, though.

  12. 12

He DID apologize. Last night on his show, he said he was sorry and named himself the "jackhole."

  13. 13

I just read the comments the guy made…..What a complete "dick"….The PS 22 Chorus didn't deserve that.

  14. 14

they sounded good, they were all so cute. i just wish they would have dressed them all up in little tuxedos(the girls too), it would have been too cute

Do you think he'll rage against orphaned puppies next?

  16. 16

Why would he apologize for saying what was on his mind! These kids were horrible and they put themselves on tv so anyone that wants can criticize them. Perez you have been critical of people of all ages for years.

agree with Andy. it WAS horrible !

Re: Cordelia Woods AMEN TO THAT CORDELIA WOODS.

  19. 19

I turned the Oscars off when i saw all those kids about to perform. This is not a school pagent (although, this year with all the horrible corny stupid writing, it could have been), it's supposed to be the Oscars.

  20. 20

    Re: Cordelia Woods
Well said. I thought of their outfits too and was surprised. All the blame goes to the Oscars behind the scene people. They really screwed the pooch this year. No surpirse though, the Oscars get worse every year.

  21. 21

"there" is used when referring to a place.
"their" is used to indicate possession.
"they're" is a contraction of the words they and are.

Someone needs to go back to school.

  22. 22

Hey Perez how come you aren't here writing a comment telling haters to not come to your site?

  23. 23

'Classy'? That's not responding at all

  24. 24

dont remove my comments you fudgepacker

  25. 25

Re: DANNYGLOVERSDICKBLOOD – yeah, don't remove the porch monkey's comments anymore.

This teacher's response actually makes me really angry. He is their teacher, who put them into the public wanting to make them stars. He should teach them about rejection if he wants to make them into performers. NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO LIKE YOU. Lesson #1. Teach them to take it with grace instead of acting like just because they're 10 we have to love them. I've seen it since the first video, there are kids in the group who ham it up and act really strange just to be noticed when the camera pans to them. And people have commented on that on their YouTube site as well. Does he contact every single critic on there too saying they shouldn't make fun of children? If he wants to shield them from criticism keep them home and turn off the camcorder. Otherwise, teach them that if you're going to perform people are going to have an opinion and that is ok.

  27. 27

IT IS HORRIBLE, BUT APPARENTLY HE APOLOGIZED. HE STILL HAS TO LIVE WITH THE FACT THAT HE SAID THAT COMMENT. CHILDREN DON'T NEED TO BE DISCOURAGED LIKE THAT.
