G.I. Joe Sequel News
And much like the first film, it's not good.
As we talked about the possibility before, it looks like Justin Bieber: Never Say Never director Jon Chu got the gig, but here is the bad news…only three characters from the original will be returning!
Actress Rachel Nichols, a.k.a. Scarlett from the first film, revealed some details on Twitter account, tweeting:
"GI JOE 2 News Flash: The only characters to return in the JON CHU directed sequel will be SNAKE EYES, STORM SHADOW, and DUKE…"
We're guessing she's not happy about getting her character cut and we're sure the rest of the cast isn't either.
So it looks like hottie Channing Tatum (thankfully) will be returning as Duke with just Ray Park and Lee Byung-hun returning as the ninja nemisis' Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.
We don't know what to make of this decision, but it sounds like the new director is taking some artistic liberties and attempting to give this franchise a much needed makeover.
The only question is…will it work?

i highly doubt it, those three wont be the only ones returning… the cliffhanger ending with Zartan? I'm sure he'll be returning, what about Destro or Cobra Commander? Baroness? I know there are alot of GIJoe villains, but to not have either of those four???
With Scarlett and Covergirl out as the female joes, i guess that means Lady Jaye and Dialtone will be in it…although i think Scarlett would've been better. I'm guessing Roadblock will fill in for Heavy Duty/Ripcord…

They don´t need a makeover, they need a Better story, that´s all they need.
I will never understand what people find in this overgrown potato with no neck and eyes set too close Channing Tatum. He's one of the fugliest men I've ever seen and he's being held as the epitome of male hotness. WUT. Not to mention that his acting skills don't exceed that of a 3-year old kid.
I am very glad for Ray Park and Lee Byung-hun though, their characters were a lot of fun and the latter was very, very hot.

ha this article is great, I must have to admit the first movie was a bit of a joke. I feel bad for channing Tatum, seems like he cant really ever get a good role. Oh well the second one should be interesting, orrrr a straight to dvd kinda thing!
