This weekend's episode of SNL hosted by Miley Cyrus had the SECOND HIGHEST rating of the season, barely trailing an episode that had a playoff game for a lead-in!

That’s also 10% better than the preliminary 3.0 18-49 rating for the show hosted by Russell Brand with musical guest Chris Brown on February 12. As has typically been the case (other than the aforementioned NFL playoff game), SNL was the number one show of the night with adults 18-49, bettering everything in primetime.

Im moroccan, I had to stay up late to watch her, to show started at 5am ! and i didn't regret it !!
since then, I rewatched SNL 4 times (so i could get all the jokes, cuz English is my 3rd language, and i'm still learning it)
and I laughed harder each time i re watchted it !
P.s : Strokes FANS were very hateful toward Miley, But I love how they all hugged Miley at the end, and went to her after party. Also love the strokes shirt Miley were when she introduced them
maybe the ratings weren't because of miley but due to the strokes performing.. at least that's why i tuned in
I watched the clips but not the whole show. She wasn't funny and she still can't act. But her singing wasn't bad at all. Stay in music, Miley, please.

Honestly I only tuned in to watch The Strokes lol!…. Miley wasn't as bad as I thought she would be, but there also were a lot of good sketches so I sure that helped……
I tuned in to watch THE STROKES. Their upcoming album has been highly anticipated considering how long their hiatus has been. The strokes should be given more credit for the ratings, they did debut a new song. They are also playing at Coachella, whose tickets sold in record time. Anyway, the strokes were amazing and miley was not as bad as i thought she would be.

Is it just me or does it really seem like the most over-the-top insane Miley haters always have the word "bitch" somewhere in their names? So appropriate! No offense to any Strokes fanatics, but they are nobodies who couldn't even get it up to do an album for more than five years. For anyone looking at statistics and sales figures, if should be obvious why this episode of SNL did so well with viewers, it was all Miley. And, for once, Perez is right: Miley was spot on hilarious.

She sang in every skit but it wasn't anything like chopping broccoli or the hannukah song even. She gave a good effort but her trying to make a joke about her salvia smoking wasn't funny, it looked desperate. Weekend update was the only funny part of the whole episode :/
To everyone who is saying there is no way that the strokes were what brought in the ratings, you're dumb. So dumb that you think Miley Cyrus is what gave SNL the great ratings. SNL has been around for 36 years, Miley hasn't even been alive that long. From someone who is a huge fan of the show, trust me, people will watch the show regardless of who the host is. Fuck I'd watch it if Kim Kardashian hosted (I hate her in case that wasn't obvious). Also the Strokes have been around way way way longer than Miley and so it's extremely plausible that more people would want to watch their performance than Miley choking on a comedy dick. She gave a good effort but she's not funny.
I think this proves that she should go back to TV. Find a sitcom. That's more suited to her style than dramatic movies.
Seriously, how old are all you that LOVED Miley on SNL?? Ya her singing was ok, although I would have liked it more if she didn't sing in every skit, and just in general, it wasn't that great at all. Whether it was the writers or just the fact that Miley herself isn't all that funny, who knows, but I don’t see how anyone just LOVED it. There is so much controversy that has surrounded Miley over the last couple of months, of course people tuned in to see if she talked about any of it. Why do you think Charlie Sheen has become so popular lately, and that everyone is tuning in to watch whatever he’s on now??? Controversy!

only watched half of it……..got bored half way through, snl just sucks some major dick in the box these past couple of years…too many cast changes and too many gay jokes where there shouldnt be any.
Re: Miley is an ugly whore – Nope. Miley is nothing like Britney. Britney is a straight out pop singer relying on choreography, couldn't do the Broadway style songs Miley was doing. Madonna was a great businesswoman, not a good singer, dancer and not an actress at all. Miley is an actress, yes from Disney school, but shows she can do subtle in that cream and CD skit. But Miley's style is part country, listen to her sing Jolene with Dolly Parton or Ready, Get Set, Don't go with her dad and medium rock (Start all over, Kickin' and Screamin', Fly on the Wall) and some pop (Can't be tamed, Who owns my heart). Her stage presence ain't nothing like Britney, Miley freelances and struts where Brit is pure choreography.
Another thing about Miley and sexuality. Miley's sexuality isn't about sex appeal more so than it is about a girl showing that natural aspect of herself in the energy of her music. So, she's not trying to look pretty and alluring and teasing, she's more raw and honest about her sexuality and when it shows in concert, which is usually when it shows, it is through the energy of the performance she's putting out. So, you've been schooled. Don't get Miley, Lindsay, or Britney mixed up again. 3 totally different people with an association to Disney, but that's about it.
