Charlie Sheen Has A 'Michael J. Fox' Clause In His Contract! WTF Does That Mean?

| Filed under: TV NewsLegal MattersCharlie Sheen

Why are we not surprised?

Although Charlie Sheen's battle with Warner Brothers was thought to have ended when they fired his ass yesterday, sources connected to the actor claim that he has what's being called a "Michael J. Fox" clause in his contract, which means if the studio continues to try and produce Two and a Half Men, he's legally obligated to still get paid!

Apparently, it's called the Michael J. Fox clause because those terms were written into that actor's contract during his time on Spin City, and ironically, was replaced by Sheen when he left the show!

However, Warner Brothers is asserting that because they fired Charlie, his contract is nullified, and they don't owe him a dime.

Great. Another legal battle!

We're beginning to forget what it felt like for an entire day to go by without hearing that man's name once.

This madness needs to come to an end!

Crazy Old Sheen needs mental help and meds. I hope there are medication that can help him. He's been a wackadoo on the lose for quite a awhile. Keep children away from him.

Let me get this straight … you bitch about having to hear his name for another day but you make it a point to post something about him every single day. You are a moron!

It doesn't matter. Sheen violated the morality clause in his contract. That would allow WB to terminate the contract without having to pay him.

Please try and make sense…."he's legally obligated to still get paid"??? Are you crazy, the correct statement would be …The studio is still legally obligated to pay him as per clause. You cant be legally obligated to get paid it just doesnt make sense….youre better off sticking to what you do best copy n pasting articles from other sites. For someone who graduated from NYU with a BFA you sure hide it well.

What pisses me off is MJF left Spin City bc he was chronically ill. Charlie was fired. I'm a chronically ill person who is also legally disabled & for Charlie to claim he deserves the same "treatment" as MJF is nothing short of offensive. People in situations like Fox's & the like had no choice in what happened to them. They can't do certain jobs bc of that - Sheen, however, did all of this to himself. If he wants to bitch about loosing his job - then all he needs to do is talk to a mirror. I don't care how "special" you are - your actions still have consequences (some good/ some bad)… he just hasn't learned that yet. I used to think this was slightly amusing - but this literally changed my opinion on the matter 10 fold. He's just being despicable now…

they'll just rehire him under a new contract. so much free press, this man is going to be worth a mint. they know it, he knows it, we all know it. but, I hope that he has to provide clean drug test before work. He is sick, it is a disease, but he can get treatment, unlike fox.

ummmm, then quit posting every step he makes, all day long… pretty easy actually.

no doubt WB is hoping he now ODz…less legal BS from the Sober Valley Lodge

WB ought to walk away from the production so as to not be complicit to Sheen's self-destruction.

"This madness needs to come to an end", well then bozo brain, stop posting about him. I'm sure we the ppl have had enough. You pete and repeat on him and on Lindsay L. Just stop. We won't care. I don't think he's going to be around much longer anyways. He will come down from his natural high and then get some drugs and BAM, can anyone say OD? See ya Chuckie.
