Suri Cruise Still Has A Binky???

Um, isn't she like almost five years old now? What's with the pacifier?!

Sunday, while Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri Cruise were enjoying an afternoon out in Vancouver, lil Suri was spotted sucking on pacifier and cuddling a teddy bear.

Mr. Bear is adorable, but we strongly feel the need to question why Suri is a growing toddler who's still attached to her binky! Don't they know that's bad for her mouth?! Her big girl teeth are almost on their way and studies have proven prolonged use of a pacifier can change the roof of a kid's mouth and cause problems down the line.

Oh, but wait…we forgot. They're Scientologists. That changes things. Oh sure, they believe in good dental hygiene, but they also believe in a different, let's say, brand of parenting. An insider explains:

"Suri just isn't told 'no' very often. Scientology encourages you to make your own decisions and learn lessons as you live your life. She'll know herself when it's time to throw the pacifier away, plain and simple."

Well, we hope she teaches that lesson to herself fast!

No fashionista ever looked good in braces!

She's gonna have horrible teeth if she keeps using that at 4+

  2. 2

poor kid..her parents are fucking idiots

  3. 3

yeaaah, that's definitely gonna cause buck teeth.

  4. 4

It's probably smothered in some special Xenu juice.

  5. 5

BAD. Who's the parent? If they don't do something about that soon, Suri'll hear about that from her peers.

  6. 6

Wow. Way to make your kid bucktoothed. But I guess a $cientologist can fix that with their alien ways. Hail Xenu.

  7. 7

She probably still hangs on Katie's tits too.

  8. 8

Scientologist think kids can find their own way but come on they need guidance too. Having a pacifier at the age of five is a bit ridiculous! When you grow up as an adult their is order in this world. Either a yes or a no but to say okay suck on that paci is quite pathetic. Then again she'll become another celebrity brat with a platinum spoon.

  9. 9

    Gee sort of
    goes AGAINST
    her sophisticated
use of high heels DOES IT NOT ?

  10. 10

ah no good. What are they thinking. It's ok to let your children live and learn but not with their health.

  11. 11

OMG be a parent tell your child NO!!!!!!

  12. 12

This kid is going to be beyond effed up.

Seriously, I have a son with a severe mental disability who fixates on things and he gave up his binkie by age 2- this is just poor parenting.

  13. 13

    nonsense, they are FOOLS

  14. 14

My mom cut up my pacifiers when I was 3 years old. It was a traumatic experience, but it needed to be done… What's wrong with her parents? 5 years old it too old. If she has to make her own decision to get rid of it, she'll have it throughout elementary school…

  15. 15

this is very disturbing…i have a 4 1/2 year-old and can't even picture him walking around with a binky. is there something wrong with her?

  16. 16

How about laying off the kid … people worry about your own kids

  17. @v@ says – reply to this

Binky, security blanket, whatever. Kids will lose them when they're ready, and it's usually needling peer pressure to conform that does it. Look at the comments on here for proof. That's IF they go to school alongside other kids.
An occasional binky use never hurt anyone, and that girl will get the very best dental care there is.

  18. 18

old news perez, tom and katie are dumb as hell. This kid shouldn't be using a pacifier she is not a baby.

  19. @v@ says – reply to this

What really concerns me is this questionable media trend to do stories about minors. Kids not in entertainment, and even some in it, should be kept out of the public eye until maturity. Period. Suri's not an actress. She's a little kid. We should protect our children; all of us. They're our future.

  22. 22

    Buck teeth!

  23. 23

WTF??? Are they gonna let her take that to Kindergarten this year as well?

  24. 24

So they dress her up in a designer kid's coat, high heels (seen on other occasions) and then allow THAT? What a travesty. This picture alone will cause her no end of teasing. Poor child.

  25. 25

i never ever talk about a kid, but this one right here looks pitiful - all the way from head to toe. just look at her, like she's walking the streets all alone & homeless.

  26. 26

y perez your not worried about the health of the child just the way she will be looking if she wears bracers. seriously -.- its their child stop pointing fingers !

  27. 27

I had a do do ("binki") Until I was older than Suri and I have amazing teeth always have had. My son is 4 in August and still has his! Grown ups eat chocolate, drink wine ect as their comforts on a bad day! What is wrong with children having theirs. Leave this beautiful little girl alone with hers!

  28. Rohan says – reply to this

Nothing like Perez giving parenting advice lol!!!!!

  29. 29

I have to say that I can't stand it when people judge others especially other peoples' kids when they A have none themselves and B get all upset when they are judged themselves. What a web of hypocrisy we weave. As for Suri, imagine how stressful it must be for her to have cameras shoved in her face wherever she goes. Her life may seem glamorous but is obviously difficult moving from one location to another with her busy actor parents. There are many more important things to actually worry about and focus attention on.

  30. loli says – reply to this

I also believe in children making many choices, but within boundaries set up by the parents. A pacifier at 5 or 4 for that matter, is ridiculous.

  31. 31

    She's gonna have Perez teeth!!!!!!!

  32. 32

Suri just isn't told 'no' very often. - Well, that only means that she will be an even bigger spoiled brat in the future, and she can blame her parents for the day that she has to wear braces.

  33. 33

Gross - pacifiers are for soothing. At 5 yrs old you should be able to self soothe. You can tell little Suri is the boss - from the I never want to wear jackets and her parents not enforcing that to recent shots of her with a bottle in her mouth. Suck it up TomKat- parenting is hard but you gotta do it…. does she still wear diapers too??? so sad for the poor thing…

  34. 34

    They're scientologists. They're idiots.

  35. 35

She is too old to have that thing in her mouth. She is going to need braces by the time she is 14.

  36. 36

Wow those are horrible parents they need to get that away from her and try disiplining

  37. barb says – reply to this

You don't have kids, leave them alone it's their problem. They can afford dental care.

  38. 38

  39. 39

    she's gonna have bad teeth

  40. 40

it's not up for anyone else to judge .. My 5 yo still has one to sleep .. if the story broke about suri, or any other celeb's kid are still useing pull-up's would you break that story too??? , that it's distrubing a 5 year old can't pee in the potty at night .. SHES A LITTLE FREAKEN KID .. LEAVE CHILDREN ALONE THERE NOT FAIR GAME … Perez sweetie … I read your blog daily your funny , witty i have NO problem when you get picky with adults ect , but i'm sorry but i can't STAND IT when you PICK ON LITTLE CHILDREN thats a line you DONT cross .. .. please stop picking on kids hun , show us the cute pic's of them ect , just dont comment on parenting and what you "belive" to be BAD parenting .. .. That is all ! again LOVE YOU , LOVE YOUR BLOG , BUT PLEASE LEAVE LITTLE KIDS OUT OF YOUR "HIT" LIST , Just keep them on your cute , arnt they adorabal list !!!! That is all thank you

  41. 41

Don't care what they say: it is MESSED UP that she is still sucking on a bippy/binky/paci. Gross!!!!!!!

  42. 42

I had a pacifier until I started kindergarten and I was the only one of my four siblings who didn't have to have braces and still have perfectly straight teeth to this day. Let the parents do what they want

  43. 43

Weird the big Concern over a binky & not that fact that her parents are nut jobs & forcing her to be in a cult.

  44. 44

Okay, that's messed up. Why? Just… why!?!?

  45. 45

Tom cruise has had problems with his teeth - could it be he still sucks one?

  46. 46

Suri's probably still in her diapers!

  47. 47

Should she have given up the paci by now? Yes, most definitely! But really Perez, you are not a parent and you commenting on others parenting skills just makes you look foolish.

  48. 48

Re: poopooperez – LOL.It's obvious that this little brat calls the shots.

  49. 49

poor little girl- it saddens me so much to see how photographed she is- she is a child for goodness sakes- and she is always trying to hide from the flashes of cameras- so sad. I wish they would just leave her alone. it should be illegal to stalk children

  50. 50

Re: @v@ – I totally agree! It is horrible how photographed that little girl is- it is cruel, I feel sad every time I see her trying to hide from the cameras- poor little child

  51. 51

Xenu says it's fine, so f— off, Earthling!

  52. 52

    awwwwww she is so cute!

  53. 53

Does anybody watch Toddlers and Tiaras? "Ni-Ni? Ni-Ni?"

  54. CW020 says – reply to this

Awwwww she's adorable. :) Parenting is hard and no one is perfect. I doubt her having a binky is going to ruin her life. Give her a break… she is a pre-schooler.

  55. 55

Scientology my ass. Thats just negligent parenting. How in the world do these idiots think they are going to raise a productive member of society when the kid never hears no? I think that's rule 1 in the parenting handbook ffs….i can't wait til this kid hits her teenage years or at least gets a little older and they TRY to say no. No means nothing if they don't hear it from a young age. Just for the record, my daughter lost her soother at 10 months.

  56. 56

She's going to grow up and see these pictures of herself with pacifiers and baby bottles and be like, "Fuck you Mom and Dad. I looked ridiculous with that infant stuff at almost five years old. How embarrassing."

  57. 57

    that's really weird-looking

  58. 58

I have always believed that a pacifier was the first form of addiction and since you don't know if your baby has an addictive personality or not, you would do well to steer clear of anything addictive in case he/she does. It might sound extreme to call this an addiction, but if you have ever seen someone take one away from a toddler, you might reconsider my point of view

  59. 59

Suri was still sucking on her bottle just last year so I guess I am not surprised, but if she was in a normal school or life - she wouldn't be still with the binky. 5 years old is too old for that. And kids learn a lot by being told "No" It is not OK to treat a child like an adult as if they can make all decision for themselves.

  60. 60

Re: Ms. B Nice – Its not the kid its her parents

  61. 61

Re: Lovemytenderpookie – You must still have you binkey too huh? lol Its not the kids people are talking about its her parents that are still letting there almost 5 year old walk around with a binkey

  62. 62

You can just tell she's the biggest brat from looking at her…I'm sure she gets everything she wants or asks for…..modern day Veruca Salt, and when she becomes a teen….watch out!

  63. 63

All my kids sucked pacifiers and their teeth are fine. Let her have it. She is still just a baby!!!She is precious!

  64. 64

If your old enough to ask for it (binkies, bottles) you are too old to get it.

  65. 65

ok, i know some people do this when their child acts like a "baby" they do it to shame them infront of others. act like a baby then we will treat you like one.

  66. 66

Hahahah holy shit! Nice parenting 0_0
Why are people with those types of ideas, allowed to reproduce?

  67. 67

Re: Ms. B Nice – Because ignorance has reproduced, and now she will grow up and reproduce… and so on. We all have to deal with ignorance… so it is our business when it comes to a kid, sorry!

  68. 68

Re: Lovemytenderpookie – You're getting a little worked up? A little scared because possibly you're an adult and still use one… orrrr maybe you allow your kids to ridiculous things like that? Called freedom of speech! I can say how I feel and agree thats terrible parenting… specially when it affects her teeth! Her parents should be doing things to prevent her teeth from being fixed… not adding to it. Procedures in your mouth suck and specially when you're a kid… they don't know this?

  69. 69

Re: Pumkinoflil – He's not picking on the child, he's picking on the parents. Can't you fucking read? Jesus Christ……… the little girl is 5, she has no comprehension… this is something the PARENTS should be showing her.

And fuck you to everyone who says people who don't have kids shouldn't give parenting advice or judge other parents. I know tons of people with kids and they're fucking idiots with them, honestly don't know how some of them even are able to keep their kids in their custody.

I pretty much helped raise my baby brother and he's a bright young man now and always has been. He's polite, has a great sense of humor, very smart, and has many goals that's already accomplished at a young age.
No kids of my own. Looks like I did pretty well though, so thank you.
I think people who tell people to butt out if they don't have kids, are very insecure with how they're raising theirs… what are you so afraid of, if you're so damn confident with how you raise children? Obviously if you can't tell your kids NO when they continue to use a pacifier at that age…. you're going to have a BLAST raising a teenager, then you'll sit and bitch about how they're so impossible… who is to blame then? YOU!

  70. 70

Re: emeraldartemis – Yep, I agree!

  71. jomm says – reply to this

It isn't that big of a deal, let her have it-it isn't like she'll take it kindergarten. DOn't kids grow up fast enough. Remember how she was always sucking her thumb in earlier pictures? They must have broken her from that habit, which is far worse for your dental health, erodes enamel on your teeth, etc., and can be so hard to break-trust me, I had a thumb sucking child and a pacifier using child and the pacifier was MUCH easier to break. She'll live, leave her alone.

  72. 72

As an open minded person, which I think Perez purports to be, I find it hypocritical that you would mock a family's lifestyle and religion. Is allowing a child to keep their pacifier any more weird, harmful or unusual than forcing a child to take communion, which is supposed to be the representation of the blood and body of a man who came back from the dead? Or wearing a hijab to cover yourself and praying towards Mecca? I don't think somehow that this would be seen as 'fair game' like scientology is. I'm not defending the behaviour - I'm an atheist personally, but just seems frustratingly hypocritical.

  73. 73

I understand if her parents believe in all the Scientology crap, but to force it upon a child where they make their own decisions at age 4+… seriously?
Just man up and take the darn thing off her :/

  74. 74

Re: poopooperez – Not only are they idiots, they should be banned from procreating.

  75. 75

    Ridiculous. And sad.

  76. 76

This is just sad, she's gonna turn into such a spoiled and pretentious brat if her parents keep letting her do whatever she wants. I mean look at her, her parents carry her everywhere, she still has a pacifier, she wears high heels and shes like 5. They're just teaching her that she'll never have to lift a finger in life because her parents have money and that clothes and looking pretty is all that's important in life, sad..just sad

  77. 77

All of you people who are crying cause photographers are photographing that child Remember: ITS A PARENTS JOB TO PROTECT THEM FROM "EVILS" IN THE WORLD. There are many Celebrities who have children of many ages who don't parade them around and furthermore when they do bring them out they DON'T ALLOW THEM TO BRING ATTENTION TO THEMSELVES!

  78. rory! says – reply to this

Re: mustbenargles – AMEN to you! Said everything I wanted to say :)

  79. 79

If she doesn't suck that, she'll suck her thumb. Trust me, I would know. 18 years old and I can't stop it. In fact, there's a website all about thumbsucking adults. My parents tried their best to stop me but I would still do it in private. It's insanely difficult to break an addiction that started in the womb.

Either way the binky is way better for her teeth than her thumb.

  80. 80

She looks like a snotty little kid, Never smiling…..Spoiled brat comes to mind..maybe she'll have buck teeth.
Now Jennifer Garner's kids, they seem great..
