8 New Airports To Have Flights To Cuba

Right Airport Wrong Cuba

This is good news!

More airports are being able to charter flights to/from Cuba, in an effort to reach out more to the people of the communist country.

Here are the additions:

Customs and Border Protection officials say charter flights to Cuba can now be scheduled from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and international airports in Baltimore, Dallas/Fort Worth, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Atlanta and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Previously, flights were only permitted from Los Angeles, Miami and New York.

Fab!

Cuba is a beautiful country, and it'll be nice to see more people get to experience it! And vice versa with the Cuban people and the U.S.!

We'll still have to meet certain travel requirements, but, this gives more people more options!

Will U want to travel to Cuba??

title of the post should be -
"8 Airports Have New Flights to Cuba" as this article says nothing about new airports, only new flights.

Im Canadian, I have been to Cuba so many times.. The people there are amazing, very nice and willing to accommodate! I think all americans should visit at least once.
    Forsure this is GREAT news

Can't wait for you to take Teresita to visit her peeps and you could send photos of your trip. You could report on LGBT happenings and your acceptance among "la Gente"

he he…I thought we had 8 new airports in the country! LOL. I don't mind, as long as the cubans don't come here asking for asylum. Much easier to get here by plane than boat :)

this is bad news for Canadians who have enjoyed this American free island for so many years. lol

  9. 9

Hell, yes. I've wanted to go for over 30 years.
My uncle went when he was a serviceman. I can't wait.

Not worry about the Cubans seeing the U.S. we got enough of that already.
But yeah, I'd like to go smoke a fat one with Fidel and suck mojitos out of a slurpee machine.

Outside of Miami, no one cares about CUBA! (Come to think of it, outside of Cuba, no one cares about MIAMI either lol.)

  14. 14

Went a couple of years ago, its a fabulous place, but its very difficult for Cubans to get visas to visit families in the US or Europe

I went to Cuba for my honeymoon. It was great, partly because there were NO AMERICANS there at all! That's a huge appeal for the non-American world. It's gonna suck if that changes.

  16. 16

My husband went to Cuba in September to see his family and he loved it. Took a while to get used to the tarantulas and the bathrooms, but other than that it was great. Can't wait to go with him next time!

  17. 17

    yes!!

  18. 18

Please no! As a Canadian I have to say the best to travel is Cuba because there aren't American travelers there. Just Canadians and Europeans! We just got married there 2 weeks ago!

Why anyone would travel to Cuba and support a brutal regime by spending their money there (which goes to government) is beyond comprehension. Think about it. There is still a long way to go—we can only hope the Cuban people will one day be free.

I love all the trash talking about Americans. I would really love if you canadians and Europeans stopped coming to our country!!!!!

  21. 21

I spent a week in Cuba in 1977, a time when some Americans were allowed to travel to Cuba by President Carter. On the beach a fat American talked to me for a while, he kept criticizing Cuba and its government. I asked him what he had visited and he answered that he had only been at the beach. And he added that he wanted to compare the communist system to the capitalist. I still wonder today if he eventually found answers to his curiosity…….. on the beach. A real American tourist.

  22. 22

Would love to visit Cuba would be very wary of my safety.

Just to warm you, cubans hate americans. its not going to be a pleasant trip.

  24. 24

    Nooooooo!!!!!!

Cuba is my favourite caribbean island. Now dirty americans are going to be there. This is a sad day for Canada!

Re: Dan85 – This couldnt be further from the truth. Ive been there twice (through educational visas) and they were nothing but nice. They said that they knew the people were a lot of the times separate from the government's thinking (if anyone should know that THEY should right?) They were wonderful and accomodating and I would love to go back there!

And for you all bashing American travelers. Im sorry, but as an American that has traveled the world, just know that the British arent held very favorably in most countries either. You're known for your pompous and self-righteous attitudes so back it on down and know youre not any better than us. And for you Canadians, Canada is supposed to be the "nice" country with "nice" people….youre not quite showing that by being so stereotypical and rude.

Not all Americans are what you think. But thanks for pushing forward stereotypes and hatred. Way to go.
