Earlier today, we had mixed feelings when we learned that Mel Gibson took a plea deal in which he'll plead no contest to simple battery against Oksana, which will keep him out of jail, and result in him being forced to seek counseling.
According to Oksana's lawyer Daniel Horowitz, she "trusts the District Attorney's Office with their decision."
This certainly coincides with comments that Oksana has made in the past. She's previously made it clear that she feels Mel needs counseling, but not necessarily jail time.
We're still not 100% sure how we feel about this. As we said before, it seems like Mel's walking away from this situation scot-free. We're glad to hear he'll be forced to seek counseling, but we're just not convinced that it's enough.
What do U think? Is counseling enough, or should Mel get jail time?
