Giffords Might Attend Her Husband's Shuttle Launch!

Giffords Could Attend Launch

So wonderful!

We're hearing that Gabrielle Giffords, the Representative that was brutally targeted in an attack that resulted in six deaths and twelve injuries, is doing so well in recovery that seeing her husband off to space is the goal — the very possible goal!

Here's what was said:

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords has shown so much progress in her recovery from a bullet wound to the head that friends and family are making plans for her to attend the launch of her husband's space shuttle mission next month in Florida. Family and friends of Giffords have been expressed optimism in recent weeks that she will be able to attend the launch of her astronaut husband, Mark Kelly.

While doctors have said attending the launch is the goal, they have tempered the optimism with important medical considerations about the congresswoman's health.

We hope she can!

Just the thought of how much she's gone through and how hard she's working in recovery is an inspiration!

Gabrielle! Get well soon, we're sending you tons of good vibes!!

I'm glad she's all right, but I'm so sick of this story. Her every little progress gets reported on. A lot of people suffer serious injury, but let's single this woman out for extraordinary attention.

I first heard of this story when I was actually in rehab myself learning how to walk and move again after undergoing the same type of surgery. I was not shot however, I was at a new years eve party and happened to hit on a straight guy, but the stories were all flipped and everyone says i "fell: down stairs when nobody was around however, the doctors said injuries were not consistent with that. After being unconscious and transported to 2 hospitals and trauma centers i underwent life-saving surgery that the docs told my mother i most likely would not survive, i was wearing make up that nite and when she came to say her good byes to me before i passed in the or the docs wiped the make up off and she freaked and screamed he was born this way! a mothers love and true devotion! now, as i type, i amhome recovering and i finally got approved for outpatient physical therapy so i can get my left arm mobile again which was damaged and i can walk which they never expected! it hit right on the motor sensory area ofthe brain. they removed part of my skull and i had to wear a helmet and the first thing i said was send it to GAGA SHE NEEDS TO SPICE IT UP:) all of u out there im 24 im just a young sweet guy that happened to do what i knew best to the wrong person, so dont judge just love and be safe sorry i ran long ALL MY BEST ALWAYS!

Re: dreamboat – I UNDERSTAND what u mean cuz when i was going thru it, it was difficult because i was making progress too and everytime i turned around it was all about her which i understood because shes in the public eye, but look at the people like me who triumph every day is that mean to say?

Re: jcdestiny04 – Wow. Just wow. It certainly hasn't affected your writing skills. All the best in your recovery from just some random person.

I cant believe you people believe that this is a real event. Do you not have common sense or reason still left in your thinking? Look at the facts, dont listen to the lies, its easy to tell them apart. Loughner as well as Bradley Manning are fictitious people that you will never see or hear from because they dont exist. You will never see a video of them in court just sketches, and you will never hear them speak. Ill give you $1000 if you can go to the court house next time he is supposed to appear, and get video of him in custody entering or leaving. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. Come on Perez, go and get the story. Or better yet get me a photo of Gabby in the hospital.

Re: @v@ – IM truly fortunate i underweny extensive speech therapy and excercises as if i were in elementary school again and to me it seemedf fun but to others i cant imagine how hard it must be. im lucky, i have youth on my side and was at the best trauma center in detroit with some of the best neuro surgeons in the country, but i was always a writer before, so i loved to type and tell stories so i was determined to tell this one but i have my moments ill type the same word 2 or 3 times in a row and get caught up cuz i can only use my right arm now so its difficult, like the dr told me the othe day ill never get it back, but i believe i will not only that, i believe i can find a man to love me for it as well. i appreciate ur well wishes so much! xoxo

Re: jcdestiny04 – I've rehabbed from a terrible back injury and surgery. They told me I'd likely never play sports again, but after losing a third of my body weight, I moved to three years of intense physio and then self re-hab (I took over, did my own plus played league sports) for three more, I advanced to A level ball, qualified for the Nationals, and won first place and MVP in a winter tourny as a setter in an A-level volleyball league with 165 teams. Use it or lose it, and define what your limits are yourself. Sky's the limit. xoxo.

Re: jcdestiny04 – Oh, and proofreading is not only my friend, but obviously yours. I've clicked 'send' without proofing, and have sent out some horrifically worded and spelled comments at times, lol. O.o
