Excellent. We're excited to see what he'll bring to the fold.

Sources report that British-Indian novelist Salman Rushdie, author of The Satanic Verses and Midnight's Children, has been wooed to pen a new show for Showtime. Salman will bring his own style to a new drama series called Next People, which "dissects different aspects of contemporary American life."

Inneresting. We'll have to check it out when it hits the tube.

Congrats on the opportunity, Salman!

He is a brave man (He had a fatwa issued against him by Ayatollah Khomeini in the late 80s for insulting islam in his book The Satanic Verses).

His book was so boring, no need to put a death wish on him. Just seeing his name in print makes me drowsy. He must need the cash badly.
