Alec Baldwin's Advice To Charlie Sheen
Alec Baldwin is just the latest star to give his two cents on the whole Charlie Sheen sitch.
In an article, Alec told Charlie, "You can't win. Really. You can't, " adding that as "a drug-addled, porn star-squiring, near-Joycean Internet ranter," he will get nowhere with the Two and a Half Men executives.
Alec continued with:
"But you know what you should do? Take a nap. Get a shower. Call Chuck. Go on Letterman and make an apology. Write a huge check to the B'Nai Brith. And then beg for your job back. Your fans demand it. You will never win because when you are as big a douchebag as some of these guys are, they have no choice but to snuff you. (Do you secretly want to get snuffed? So you can go back and make movies?)
Sober up, Charlie. And get back on TV, if it's not too late. This is America. You want to really piss off Chuck and Warner Brothers and CBS? Beg for America's forgiveness. They will give it to you. And then go back. You are a great television star. And you've got the gig. As I learned from closely observing Tony Bennett so I could impersonate him on SNL, this is supposed to be fun.

Alec did himself a service if he wants to come off as an asslicker of big Hollywood corporate powers. It really makes him look like a weak guy who sides with the bosses against the rest of us. Charlie is taking the high road, taking on Hollywood's corrupt corporate bosses head on. Team Charlie all the way. He's winning. Baldwin and his sorry brothers are losing.
Hey "laythisdown": if what CS is doing is called the high road, I would love to see what the low road looks like. Also, this is old news and so is the post about his show "selling out." Alec Baldwin's advice is sound. BTW, I'm not on anyone's team. "Laythisdown," buy yourself some CS tshirts and announce your allegiance to the world. Alec totally knows what he is talking about. These people are obviously in this for the money not just the fame and Alec knows what has to happen to keep Charlie "in the game". Will the bigwigs cave in to public demand? Or will they stick to their guns? Who knows but if Charlie wants to keep making millions he should get back to work not ride his wave out of the business.

Baldwin is projecting. Baldwin considers himself a total failure and is projecting his own failures onto Charlie. Look it up. He doesn't want Charlie to have any success from this so he's bashing him.
"You're a great TV star" is the snub. To say that to an actor is to call them mediocre, which Baldwin is, at best. Charlie knows this.
Charlie's going to have to come to his conclusions in his own time; if time is granted to him. Some people have to learn the hard way. Alec's a grown up, and Charlie is living an extended adolescent fantasy. However, I wouldn't bet yet on any side in that lawsuit as things ended.
