Glee fans! We have some exciting, first-hand Glee news for you that we think you're all going to enjoy IMMENSELY!
Last night, PerezHilton.com attended the Glee panel event at the PaleyFest in Beverly Hills and the cast let us in on a bunch of amazing things coming your way in upcoming episodes this season…and in Season 3!
But before we get to that….
WARNING! YOU'RE HEADING INTO SPOILER TERRITORY! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER! WE MEAN IT! KEEP OUT!
For the rest of you, LET'S GET OUR GLEEK ON!
First of all, there was a HUGE panel in attendance last night! Though Lea Michele couldn't be there due to filming in New York, the rest of the cast more than made up for her absence, including Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, Heather Morris, Naya Rivera Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz and our beloved Darren Criss. Also in attendance were the writers and creators of the show, including the man himself, Ryan Murphy!
The BIGGEST spoiler of the night came from Chris Colfer, who in the middle of a question, absentmindedly blurted out that Kurt will be returning to McKinley High before the season is out. When the audience gasped in amazement at his slip, he promptly turned to the crowd and hollered, "Like you didn't know!" Ha! Well, we guess we always kind of figured.
But here's some even better news - expect to see Blaine audition for the New Directions in Season 3! Yes!!! Ryan revealed that Darren isn't going anywhere anytime soon and could even be switching schools to be with his boyfriend! (God, we love writing that!)
Speaking of Kurt, as we previously mentioned, the show is doing a "Born This Way" episode and Ryan revealed that it would focus primarily on the Dave Karofsky bullying storyline. He hinted this may also be the episode in which Kurt returns to the Glee club.
As far as who may be swinging back to McKinely for future guest-spots, Ryan confirmed that Gwyneth Paltrow will return this season in the first episode back from the hiatus and she may even pop up again in the third season, since everyone loves her so much. But guess who else will be back this season?
Kristin Chenoweth! Not only did Ryan CONFIRM she'll be back in the back six episodes of this season, but he shared just exactly what April Rhodes has been doing all this time! Apparently, her all-white version of The Wiz flopped on Broadway (LOLZ) and she's returning to Lima, OH to star in her own one woman show called Crossroads! It was also revealed she'll be getting her own original song, titled "10 AM…And I'm Drunk." Need we say more!
The subject of Brittany and Santana did come up briefly and when Naya was asked how'd she like to see their relationship play out, she mused to the crowd, "I want Santana to get her pregnant…and then get a spin-off."
Um, WE'D WATCH THAT! HA!
Not much was said of the upcoming tour, but Ryan did reveal that it will be 80% season 2 music and 20% season 1 and will follow the same format as the last tour with everyone keeping to their characters from the show.
And finally, and we can't believe we're writing this because it just thrills us to the bone…
It was revealed that next season, there will be an episode centric to a single album, rather than just a single artist. The lucky album chosen? “Rumors” by Fleetwood Mac! And….we're dying!
It was such an incredible evening and the cast was simply phenomenal! We had so much fun and we can't wait to see what amazing things they do with the show next!!!
