First Look! Shania's New OWN Network Docu-series Show!

| Filed under: Music MinuteInspirationShania TwainReality TV

We weren't expecting it, but this got us all kinds of choked up!

Check out the just-released preview for Shania Twain's upcoming docu-series on the OWN network, called Why Not? (above)!

As you can see, the series will document the country singer as she attempts to move past the end of her 14 year marriage by traveling across the country, facing her childhood demons and learning from others who have experienced similar hardships, all while attempting to rediscover her voice.

Seriously - it looks like some powerful, honest stuff right here.

This couldn't have been an easy journey to take, let alone with a camera crew, so we're looking forward to falling in love with her all over again!

Congratulations, gurl! Glad to have you back!

"I have lost my ability to express myself."

"For some reason, I'm not comfortable singing in front of people anymore."

"I was feeling more pressure from my career the bigger it got."

"I felt the pressure to be better and better all the time."

"I was slowly losing my confidence."

"Now of course my marriage was slowly breaking down to. First I found out my marriage was over…"

"I really lost my sense of trust, compassion, honesty…"

I don't know if anyone else has thought about this but I wonder if this is Britney's problem as well.

This looks good. Perhaps Britney should try something like this.

    This looks really good.
What I am sorta bummed about though is she's travelling across the US…
It would have been nice to see her come home to Canada and tour through a few small town Canadian cities. Now that would be a breath of fresh air!!!

It looks good. I'm happy for her and the fact that she had the ability to finally overcome her own pain. It takes a lot. Bravo.

This is NOT a "first look", you TOAD. This was previewed on OWN when it first launch. You just are passing it off as if it were some kind of great find or exclusive when this has been seen by many people already. Fraud.

That old hag is such a has-been. She's pushing 50 now. Taylor Swift will eventually bury her. Actually she already has. Shania threw herself at Mutt Lange & begged him to marry her to further her career. She used the poor guy. The man didn't wanna get married again cuz he'd already done it & it didn't work out. Shania deserved to get cheated on. My brother used to listen to her music & he said she's a real bitch to her fans.

Oh yeah…she also lied about being Indian. Who the hell does that?
That's why most of the natives around here hate Shania's guts.
Everyone I know lumps her in the same puky music category as Celine Dion.

She's someone to look up to. So, ya, keep promoting Lady Fucktard.

Re: Talia88 – She didn't lie about being Indian. She's not from India. Her step dad, Jerry Twain, was Aboriginal, or native Ojibwa. He raised her from the age of two, so she lived the customs and life and pridefully considered herself Ojibwa. So would I if that's all I'd known since the age of two. Oh, and Mutt is not the type of self made man to marry unless he wanted to; and no one deserves to be cheated on in such a manner. There are right ways and wrong ways to go about things. She's usually good to her fans, unless they're crossing boundaries that threaten her security or she has to BE somewhere quickly. You, too will be pushing 50 before you know what's hit you, so I'm going to say right now that you're through, done, instead of wasting time. Some 22 year old will bury you just when you're rich with wisdom, experience and love. You have a lot to learn, starting with empathy.
