Randy Jackson Thinks X Factor Is Going To Be "Hot"

Damn straight!

So far, American Idol is doing alright for itself this season. With Randy Jackson holding down the fort as the last remaining original judge and the two newbie celebs holding their own, they might have a shot at keeping the show or another season or two.

Unless, of course, The X Factor explodes the way we think it will come its premiere in the states. Then, it might be lights out on the Idol stage.

But is Randy worried about that? Nah! In fact, he is looking forward to seeing what his old pal Simon Cowell has up his sleeves! He told sources:

"I'm sure it's going to be a hot show! Simon will always do fine. He's a very smart and talented guy. I'm sure it's going to be a hot show as well. He's my dear friend, we love him."

Aw! Sweet! They're bestest buds even when they are in competition with each other! We like that!

Hey, Randy, maybe if Paula Abdul gets hired on the show and American Idol folds, you can scootch over to X Factor for a guest stint and ya'll can have a reunion! Wouldn't that be fun?!

Aren't they on the same network? So they will never be directly competing with each other…. I'm confused as to why you think this is some direct competition…

Uhm…how can they be in competition with each other if they are on the same network and are on during different parts of the year? And I believe it is still the #1 show on TV so why would anyone doubt that it would be on for at least another couple of seasons?

    He's paid to say that.

Like the others said. They are both going to be on Fox so they won't be competing with each other. No reason they both can't do well.

Re: Samtra – Perez is being facetious. He is still irked that no one paid any attention to his begging to become a judge on AI. He's a legend in his own mind.

It's not going to be 'hot'. Trust me. Having seen this shitty show in the UK for the last few years, it's just like American Idol - but worse. The same bullshit, but annoying as the judges don't give genuine critique since they are trying to backup their own acts, no matter how lame they are.

Re: galleon10 – It's not like American Idol or any other of those shows. X Factor UK is teh show why I started watching those kind of shows at all. It's much better and the contestants abilities are definitely much better than in any other casting show. The reason: Simon. X Factor in other countries without Simon are as bad as any other show.
