Isn't it beautiful??? Your food will never feel as special ever again!

Behold! GE has just announced the latest edition to their spring refrigerator line:

The Prince William & Kate Middleton Deluxe Side-by-Side 2011 Wedding Edition!

Every day, for the rest of your life, every time you go for a glass of milk, their blinding white teeth will be smiling back at you from the side-by-side doors! Every time you crush ice from the machine, there will be Kate's bling, mocking you with its sparkle and shine.

David Garden, Commercial Director for GE at GDHA, happily announced the limited edition item with a statement, saying:

“As expected, the royal wedding has really captured the U.K.’s imagination and it was no surprise that a William and Kate commemorative fridge was a popular choice. It certainly wipes the floor with your usual commemorative tea towels and mugs and is most definitely one of the most novel royal wedding products we have seen."

Yeah! Forget tea towels! This is totally more rad than tea towels! Down with tea towels!! (What's a tea towel?)

Is anyone going to try and top this? Anyone? Anyone?

I am intrigued to know what kind of person would buy this! A tea towel is the name that we British people give to the cloth that you dry dishes with. Do Americans really not know this? :)

  2. 2

I want that! I have Meredith Baxter Birney on my dishwasher so they will look really good together.

  3. 3

Who would buy this crap?!! Is rediculous to have a fridge like that specially of people you don't even know and only read about them!!!! bolas de ridiculos!

  4. 4

You know, I was going to explain what a tea towel is, but I can't think of what to say other than that it's a tea towel, you know, as in a tea towel. LOL!

  5. 5

    haha creeeepy.

  6. 6

    CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZY

  7. 7

Love the refrigerator idea, as long as I could eat Kate Middleton!

You know, I was expecting all kinds of promotional crap from people who are trying to cash in on the craze surrounding the wedding, but this is just ridiculous. A freaking fridge? Seriously??? Who the hell would buy this?

  9. 9

First of all, who in the hell would buy a fridge with Will and Kate's pictures on it? Seriously!? Love them but…

Ans secondly, a tea towel is the small towel that you use to dry dishes, or veggies, or your hands. Like a hand towel, but for the kitchen. How do you not know this? What do you Americans call it?

  10. 10

HAAA!!! i need this IMMEDIATELY!!! my life will not be complete until i can store my milk in this awesome-ness.

  11. 11

I suppose it's kind of pretty in the picture, but I don't know who would want to see that every single meal for the life of the appliance (and GE usually makes pretty long lasting appliances!) I'd take the tea towel (which admittedly I didn't know what that was until reading the first comment about it being like a dish cloth)

Insanely Gaudi. BTW - Gaudi was a Spanish artist and during his time his work was so outlandish that when people say something is "Gaudi" that is what the reference is. My little lesson of the day, in case you didn't know. :)

  13. 13

This is one of the silliest things I have ever seen!
Lets hope there are no more of these dumb ideas.

  14. 14

Re: Not my gumdrop buttons! – "Gaudy" (pronounced god-ee) is a word dating from the 14th Century of latin origin. gaudere - to enjoy. Now meaning excessively showy or ostentatious. The artist, Gaudi's name will be from the similar latin orgins. And the British "dish cloth" is what we wash the dishes with; tea towel to dry.. :)

Oh God, I don't know weather to laugh hysterically or shutter at the prospect of Kate and william on my fridge, staring at me ,while I reach for food. I 'am sure if I ever met them in person they would be disturbed at the thought of being on my fridge as well.

Re: mejakikiRe: MichaelaK – No most Americans can put 2 and 2 together and figure it out…

Perez way to make Americans look reallllllllllllly stupid.

  17. 17

who in their right mind…..like i want to look at a receding hairline everytime i go in my kitchen

  18. 18

    That is crappy!

  19. 19

I really didn't believe that anyone would be able to go to such pathetic extremes but obviously they can. This is ridiculous. anyone who buys this obviously has far too much money and if that is the case I know a much more worthy thing to spend it on…Me! I want to get out of the country for this expensive farce and then again next year to avoid another expensive farce the nation can't afford - the Olympics. My guess is that they have put this thing on the market to sell overseas.

a tea towel is what you use to dry up dishes, but if its particularly fancy and usually given as a gift, it'll stay in your grannies drawer and only be brought out to lay freshly backed bread on lol

    L x

  21. 21

maybe one day you will be able to watch a movie on your refrigerator while cooking dinner

  22. 22

canadians, or at least those on the east coast, also use the term tea towel, in the same context as the british apparently. it's kind of ridiculous to act like a moron because you don't know.

  23. 23

I cannot believe you don't know what a tea towel is.

Don't they say that in America?

Its what you dry dishes with after doing the washing up.

  24. 24

this post reminded me to buy a commemorative tea towel.

  25. 25

    Addition, moron. Not edition.

  26. 26

I hope that is a magnet or a peel off. That is the craziest thing I have ever seen. If its not I hope they didnt make to many. haha.

  27. 27

Next we are going to have all the Twilight actors on our coffins. ;(

  28. 28

    omg!!! full of shit

  29. 29

You should see the commemorative throne I've installed in my "loo" (Brit for crapper).

  30. 30

That's actually very creepy. What kinda obsessed creeper would buy that? O_O

  31. 31

edition? what's a tea towel? are you that stOOPid as you say?
