| Filed under: TV NewsBroadway BabiesKate WalshPatrick DempseyEllen Page

WARNING: THERE ARE MAJOR SPOILERS IN THE ABOVE VIDEOS FROM NEXT WEEK'S MUSICAL EPISODE OF GREY'S ANATOMY. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, PLEASE DON'T WATCH.

We've got two more sneak peeks at next week's Grey's Anatomy. (above)

The first features more of the incredible Sara Ramirez singing Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars from the top of the episode. The second is an ensemble performance of The Fray's How To Save A Life, featuring the return of Grey's alum, Kate Walsh.

Powerful. This may be a lot better than a lot of people were expecting, including us.

Thoughts???

    gay!

I'm sorry, but this looks idiotic to me. Some types of shows shouldn't go the musical route—this is one of them.

  3. 3

i always knew it would be good, and I think most people did. UR the one jumping on the bandwagon.

I'm excited for the episode as it looks SO intense…I got chills just watching the episode! I think the musical aspect will be surprising…A) you don't expect it and B) because they're going with songs that have been played and become well known from Grey's in the past…I think people need to give it a chance!

    Can't wait for next thursday!

Meh. If you're going to go the musical route, at least write your own songs. Come on. That's what made the one from Buffy so great and memorable. I don't really feel like watching doctors rehash 3 year old songs.

i think its going to be a lot better than i expected, i was very skeptical at first
and im super excited addison is in this episode

I like Jessica C,Chyler Leigh and Chandra Wilson's voices. Very nice.

I like this a LOT more than I expected too. The cast actually have nice enough voices to pull it off, and I remember all those moments very well, so it feels very reminiscent of past seasons. I'm no longer dreading this event!

why!?! seriously?!?! why? what is the need for this? so STUPID!

  10. 10

@carisdee - the need for this is that Sara Ramirez has an AMAZING voice and the world beyond Broadway should hear it! And she hasn't been on Broadway in almost six years. :(

I'm still not sold on this. This show has jumped the shark, which makes me sad because I've loved this show since the first episode! =(

Looks good….Ive been hanging on for 6 years…I'll watch. But does every character on this show have to have a brush with death/die/die and come back?? Boring.

  13. 13

Well, the singing is not bad, but I still don't see why they need to sing at all. I mean, ok I get how Callie is having a near death experience, so it can make sense for her 'spirit' to be singing… but what about the others who start singing in the middle of the O.R.? It just doesn't make sense.

    oh. my. god.

ha! The first clip isn't THAT bad, sara ramirez has a beautiful voice and I guess it sort of has an ethereal quality to it. Except the drama of it is kind of anti-climactic…Arizona doesn't even seem that torn up about it, she seems about as upset as if she ran over a dog or something.

Now. The second clip. Oh my god! So bad. sooo bad. Feels so random and out of place. And their voices sound terrible. Not to mention the fact that their mouths are covered by masks so you can't even really tell if they are supposed to be the ones singing or if the camera just happens to be on them. So unbelievably awkward!

I am SO upset. I love Callie and Mark and was really hoping that they'd kick Arizona to the curb and co-parent. I can't STAND how they write Arizona. Such a whiner. She's a friggin pediatric surgeon, beautiful, healthy and has a gorgeous girlfriend who loves her more than anything and all she does is complain! I really hope Callie doesn't die. I barely made it through George and I know Bailey is going to cry again and I can't hold it together when Chandra lets loose. I can't wait for this episode. Don't even CARE about the musical, I just need to know she and the baby make it! And why in the hell can't Shondra Rhimes let babies be born normally and healthy? I swear Greys Anatomy and Private Practice are Dead Babies R US! Can't there just be a beautiful moment? Bailey's baby's birth was tragic. And lets see Christina and Meredith both lost babies and Addison aborted Mark's and now can't have any. It's all dead babies! I was so hoping to just have this beautiful birth moment and everyone is smiling and happy for a change. But no, things have to get bloody and tragic again! STOP KILLING BABIES!

I called this so long a go. as soon as the first promo came out you can tell she was having an "outer body experience"

but i am still so excited!
