Can't Decide Between Satellite TV And A Gun? No Problem.

| Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueEtc.

Radio Shack Gives Away Guns

You know what would make something instantly better when you know you're going to buy it anyway?

Getting a free gun with it!

Well that's the mindset of a Radio Shack in Hamilton, Montana! They started giving away a free gun with the purchase of Dish Network in October, and it's been extremely successful for them.

The customers, of course, have to go through an extensive background check before they receive a voucher for a free gun at a local guns and ammo supply store.

Don't want a gun? Can't get a gun? No problem, have a $50 dollar Pizza Hut gift certificate instead.

Wait, does that mean people have been getting guns that are only worth 50 bucks? How does that work? We figured guns would be a little pricier than that!

No matter how you feel about gun laws and safety, it looks like they're taking the proper precautions, and it IS a good thing for the business, which has claimed tripled sales since the start.

Plus you can't beat a sign that says:

"Protect yourself with the Dish Network. Sign up now, get a free gun."

Right?

How do U feel about this program??

I think it's awesome! Proud to call it my hometown!

They were giving away a cheap hunting rifle. In Montana they hunt animals not people like in LA. What is dishonest is the fucking picture you chose to pimp this story with. Hardly consistent with a hunting rifle.

Not so outrageous for someone from Montana. L.A.? Yes. Hunting country? Nope.

  6. 6

    It's Missouri, not Montana!

I'm from this awesome little town and I don't think their is anything wrong with it as long as they are doing proper background checks. Almost everyone in the town has a gun anyway. They aren't advocating shooting of people or being hellions. People in this town Hunt and go out and camp in the backwoods. Its nice for safety because yea we have grizzlies and mountain lions. :) Plus if you have a huge problem with it don't get Dish Network…get cable.

Also…It was in the news Yesterday that the cooperate heads at Radioshack have started freaking out and have told the owner he needs to stop. But he's fighting it as an independent store owner or something like that.

Re: KaceyA – This Radio Shack story happened in
Hamilton, Montana, not Hamilton, Missouri or Hamilton, Ontario. G@v@le it.

Its Not uncommon to do actually. There are lots of businesses in some areas of the country where you can do this

American gun law is THE most ridiculous thing. And you all wonder why you have so much gun crime. Perhaps it's because you can pick one up anywhere you go. I wouldn't have the slightest idea where to get a gun in England. That's a good thing!

Re: Keelio – You are aware that crime rates and MURDER rates is higher in the UK than in the US right? I love it when anti-gun asshats talk out of their ass without knowing a single thing about a firearm or the laws..

  13. 13

Re: NookiesWA – no, this is wrong. Crime rates for buglary and robbery may be higher in the UK, relatively speaking, but gun crime rates are massively higher per 100,000 people in the US and there is a direct correlation between the levels of gun ownership and murder and suicide rates and specifically to the level of death by gunfire.

Well, Yee Effin Haw!! Pretty ridiculous, whats next? Bowie knives with an order of pizza?

as long as they pass the NICS background check, I'm all for it.
