So Who's Gonna Make The Royal Wedding Cake??

Fiona Designing Cake For Royal Wedding

Fiona Cairns is getting the honor of making the cake for the Royal Wedding that's right around the corner! She was specifically chosen by Kate herself.

This is what the design is going for:

It will be a multi-tiered traditional fruit cake, decorated with cream and white icing. There will also be a strong British floral theme.

The Royal Household says Fiona was chosen by Kate and Will for her creative style and beautifully crafted handmade cakes using traditional British ingredients.

We're sure that with Fiona behind it that it'll both look and taste fantastic!

At the reception in Buckingham Palace, Prince William has requested a chocolate biscuit cake as well, and that'll be made by McVitie's Cake Company!

Yum! Sounds great!

Hope everything goes according to plan and the day is PERFECT!

please tell us, someone from England, that YOUR Fruitcake isn't that BAD!!!!!! Fruitcake is such a joke here, but who knows, a FRESH ONE, with icing, maybe tastes okay, instead of being in a tin, cooked probably 8 months BEFORE. Like when you buy boxed cookies and you get a lb. of italian of cookies from your neighborhood bakery-NO COMPARISON

Re: justtfax – Old fruitcake = rubbish wherever you are. But fresh fruit cake… MMmmmm… :) Fruitcake is traditional here in the UK as well, so you usually finds lots of good stuff!
