One of the more heartwarming stories to come from Elizabeth Taylor's sad passing is the one of the relationship between her and Colin Farrell.
While we don't think it was anything naughty in nature, the two became extremely close friends over the past year and a half, earning him a spot at her funeral and a reading of poems chosen by her.
Here's what the actor has said about Elizabeth:
"I was just lucky enough to become her friend in the last year and a half . I adore her…still. How did we become friends? You know, the old story of boy meets girl, and boy pesters girl with too many phone calls at inappropriate hours of the night."
Actually, that DOES sound a little romantically charged, but yet we still feel like it was just a close friendship.
On the poem:
"Elizabeth chose it. It was a tricky poem as well. Even in passing she had me under the thumb, sweating bricks."
Despite only knowing her for a year and a half, Colin, we can see how much she meant to you, and we are very sorry for you loss. We adored her in our own way, too, and we're glad that you could be there for her so close to the end.
That's very sweet of you, considering your bad boy status!
We're sure Elizabeth loved your readings!
