In Treatment Gets The Axe

Too bad! This show was so fascinating!

We're bummed to report that the HBO series In Treatment, which followed Gabriel Byrne as a psychotherapist as he treated a variety of patients with a plethora of different problems, has not been picked up for a fourth season, due to low ratings!

A spokesperson for HBO explains:

"It's true that we have no plans to continue with In Treatment as previously formatted. However, we are in continued conversations with the executive producers to find another way to continue telling these rich stories."

We certainly hope so!

Maybe it would work better without a specific week day correlating to one patient? It was a lot to have it airing so many nights a week!

Keeping our fingers crossed!

I loved this show. Gabriel was great - the story never got dull. I think HBO stopped pimping it out and people forgot about it I will find treatment in the old episodes and feel almost normal
