Leonard Nimoy Lending Voice To Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Fan boys may have lost Megan Fox in the latest installment of the Transformers franchise, but they have gained an old ally: Leonard Nimoy.
The man who made Spock a household name is taking a crack at playing another alien life form.
The actor will voice Sentinel Prime in the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon, who is being described as:
"the predecessor of Optimus Prime whose wrecked body is seen in the teaser trailer, found crash-landed on the moon by the Apollo 11 astronauts in 1969. Later, after being brought to Earth, he takes the disguise form of a fire engine in the movie's massive, climactic battle through Chicago."
Sounds pret-ty cool, but this isn't exactly new territory for the actor.
He voiced an animated robot The Transformers: The Movie back in 1986.
In fact, Michael Bay actually wanted to bring back Nimoy for the last Transformers failure franchise installment, but explained:
"I was too scared to ask him. Plus, he's married to Susan Bay, who's a cousin of mine. So I had to be careful."
Well, we're glad Bay finally worked up the courage to ask because Leonard Nimoy's distinguished voice will add some much needed credibility for this sequel!
It's no Star Trek, but the addition of Leonard Nimoy to the newest Transformers makes us a little more excited to see it.
Does this news make U more excited for the sequel?

it looks like he used to have an earring in his right ear but got ripped out.
That's awesome. He can afford an annual trek to Vulcan!
This is AWESOME news!
The Best.
