Nice way to end things out, we think!

Shameless, Showtime's latest addition to their original programming lineup, scored stellar ratings for it's season one finale. According to reports, 1.16 million viewers tuned in Sunday night, making it the most watched episode of a freshman show on a network since 2001!

Wow! Breaking a decades long record is nothing scoff at! Good for them!

Hopefully, season two can live up to this!

I have to say this show shocked me and also entertained me and the ending was shocking and upsetting so I guess it gives the viewer a lot of mixed feelings

On the British version of "Shameless" little Liam is not Black. Kinda wonder why the U.S. series made this departure–for laughs?
Bill H. Macy is wonderful. Watching the original U.K. show on casttv.com because I don't have Showtime. Loved the premiere, though.

You mean decade….it's only been A decade…someone needs to look over what he's typing, cause you make a LOT of mistakes

how can it be part of Showtimes original show lineup when it is a re make of a British show….nothing original about US TV these days

This show is the shit.. nuff said.. I kinda like the British version too!

Re: passingthetime – Just like Being Human is advertised as an original show on SyFy while it's a remake of the British show that's been out for a year or two already.

Re: caroaber – Probably to make it more apparent that Liam isn't Frank's son, and an all-white cast on an American show based in Chicago wouldn't work. The US is far more racially diverse than the UK, so changes had to be made. William H. Macy is great on the show, and he'll be winning awards for his performance. He's MUCH better than the UK's Frank Gallagher. Showtime has definitely outdone the original!

If you are a Perez hater, don't visit this site on April 1st. Let's show him the power of the haters.

when i saw the "shameless no more!" headline, i was thinking they were going to cancel the show. THANK GOD FOR MISLEADING HEADLINES!

Re: passingthetime – i see where you're coming from, but this US version is actually much much better thank the UK one. i usually prefer british TV over american, like with skins an so on, but this show is extremely good, it kicks the british version's ass.

If you didn't watch Shameless this season, be sure to catch the reruns in the summer. It was absolutely fantastic. Great actors. Great writing. Loved it. I missed the first 3 episodes but once I watched it, I was hooked.

Why don't the haters just stop visiting the site, period? Do you truly have nothing better to do?

    Re: Serena Loves Mario
Actually, a paternity test proved that Liam IS biologically Frank's son… (even though anyone who took a high school science class that touched on genetics knows that's not possible…) ;)

The show is amazing and William H. Macy is brilliant. I haven't seen the British series… will have to check it out.

Re: BooBoo Kitty – Actually, it IS possible, but very unlikely, for him to be his son. I think someone paid off the lab to change the results of the paternity test. My guess is Steve was behind it. Google articles on "white parents black baby" or "black parents white baby".
Don't bother watching the UK version after watching the US version - you won't be impressed. The US version is much better.

The only shows worth watching are on cabel. Showtime, HBO, and Starz are the bes.t Fox, CBS, ABC, and NBC can go suck a dick. Anyway not suprised love this show.

I do enjoy the show. Wasn't sure at first but it grew on me. William H. Macy is my least favorite on the show. I think he overdoes it a bit. I think Emmy Rossum is terrific and Joan Cusack is awesome!

Re: krtmom – William H. Macy is BRILLIANT on the show. If you want to see an actor really overdoing it, watch the Frank on the UK Shameless. He's absolutely terrible.

I liked Shamless.. I don't subscribe showtime, but my friend put them all on flash drives for me to watch on my computer, and I was pleasantly surprised.. it really is about being shameless.. totally different from all the run of the mill shows I've seen. looking forward to season 2.
