We're excited for him, but these are some pretty big venues. It's a risky move.
This morning on Ryan Seacrest's morning show, Matthew Morrison announced he will be touring the country just after he gets back from touring the U.K.
In an interesting move, Matt is joining up with VH1's Save The Music campaign to offer gleeks from all over to audition to tour with him as his opening act. Regional glee clubs will get the chance to compete for the coveted performance opportunity for each stop on the tour. For more information on the contest, CLICK HERE to visit the website.
As for Matt, he'll be delighting audiences with not only his own music, but with fan favorites from Glee as well! In addition, Matt is also teaming up with Funny or Die to create original content for the tour that will be incorporated into the live show.
Phew! That's a lot going on! It sounds like fun though…and Matt does know how to work a crowd.
Check out the list of tour dates below (after the jump) to see when Matt will be coming to your town. Tickets go on sale on April 15th (spend that tax refund!) at 10am!
As an added bonus, we thought we'd share the cover for Matt's debut album that he just tweeted! (above)
