King Mellencamp Music Date

John Mellencamp and Stephen King have conjured up a musical, and it'll debut next spring!

It's called Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, and it's a southern gothic musical. Here's what it's about:

King's story is based on the real 1957 deaths of two brothers and a young girl. Mellencamp is in charge of the "roots and blues-tinged score."

It is scheduled to run from April 4 to May 13, 2012

Sounds like a hit to us!

Can't wait to see it, guys!

This…could be very, very good! This is the kind of franchise that can bring attention to blues and roots music as well as to Southern Gothic literature; the _Twilight_ gang's growing up and will soon want something a little more sophisticated…dare we hope.

One should stick to writing and the other stick to music. For their sake I hope that works!

This could be a sleeper. Southern Gothic, murder, and roots and blues. How could you lose?
