Back in January, we were very impressed to hear that the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera had a killer week where it grossed $1,390,530.53, which was its highest weekly gross in 23 years!
Now, theatre producer Cameron Mackintosh will breathe new life into the show
not that it needs it and he'll be putting together a worldwide Phantom tour in 2012.
The new version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's play will be helmed by Laurence Connor, and it will feature "new sets and costumes by Paul Brown and lighting by three-time Olivier Award winner Paule Constable."
Should be inneresting to see how this version differs from the Broadway musical.
Will U check out the new Phantom tour next year when it plays near you?
